Too many of us on here dwell on the negative.

Oct 14, 2014, 9:16 AM

Cole Stoudt has some questionable statistics, but he has faced #11 defense on the road and the #1 defense with a shoulder injury, both with the support of an ineffective running game.

Morris had some calls that we as fans have the luxury of questioning, not knowing what he's seen day-in and day-out in practice. But how some people sit on their computers and say he "sucks" is beyond me. With him at the helm, how many offensive records have we set?

I've said it before and I'll say it again - these are the good times. Three 10+ win seasons in a row, and ACC championship, a BCS game win. The entire D1 football world is flooded with cash. We are right next door to SEC country and we regularly steal recruits from them. While other teams' stars are making fools of themselves and breaking the rules, ours are showing class and dignity. There is a difference between "ranting" and "having a fan discussion on coaching calls or player execution."

I guess what I'm trying to say is that if you are a fan and you aren't enjoying Clemson football now, there's a chance you never will. If it's either "we're national champions" or "we suck", you might want a different hobby.

Well said!!My father in law was this type of fan, no matter how good we were he would always look for something negative. How often does a football team actually play a perfect game?

Unfortunately there are still a lot of oldschool Clemson fans who won't be happy until there is another Nat Cham trophy in the case. A lot of high standards in the Clemson fanbase.

Football ain't a hobby.

I really love this post! I feel like people on here think we're gonna win the national championship every year. It takes time. Give it two years. We'll be there, BUT we can't be the best team every year. Confidence in your team is great but thinking we're gonna go undefeated every year is ignorance.

Morris is 0-fer versus the Coots.

Oct 14, 2014, 9:36 AM

Gotta start winning that one, then you will not hear the bickering you do now.

wrong again. clemson has lost 5 in a row to the coots, certainly not one person.

Well stated. My dad called it the NYYankees problem ... that unless they were the world series winner they were worthless ... twenty years back the Buffalo Bills lost 4 straight Super Bowls and to many they were considered losers.

Better yet is Ben Franklin's "It takes a skilled craftsman to build a barn but any ####### can kick it down".

yesterday. I love the Tigers and the fans but sometimes I get frustrated with them and the way they act, talk and post. One of them told "what do you expect from and internet sports board". I expect Tiger fans to support the team even when we don't understand or agree with what is being done.

The ways of the world these days is sad in so many ways. We have much to be thankful for at Clemson.

Our offensive line, running backs and quarterback won't

Oct 14, 2014, 10:04 AM

allow us to have a good running game this year. That will hamstring Chad's play calling and make us look bad from time to time. There is no simple quick-fix solution. You can't just "do something different" and expect a different outcome when you lack the players to get it done.

The reaction to those limitations from the fans on here gets old.

i know what you're saying... but

Oct 14, 2014, 10:06 AM

im not so sure we don't have the talent here to have a run game... again, not saying that as fact.

but give another oc, say bobby petrino or jimbo, etc... the talent at clemson and do you think they'd have a run game?

big thechad supporter here for a long time... but trends at least make you question our scheme sometimes

"I've been working since I was 15 continually until now. I worked 40 hours a week at 15, when it wasn't even legal for 15 year olds to work that many hours."

No. I don't. Petrino would struggle to manufacture a

running game with this group. The trend the you refer to is a result of the lack of talent at running back, problems on the oline, and a current quarterback that doesn't move his feet well. Petrino has more to work with at Louisville this year and his team runs the ball no better than we do. Both teams averaging 141 yards per game running. I thought Chad did a great job last year getting more out of Rod McDowell than anybody ever imagined possible.

I agree , we have had lots of injuries to key people . Some of them career enders.

It's not like any of the administrators or coaches don't already know.

Don't you agree that fans sometimes become 'hostile' when they see a team (coach) do the same thing without success over and over and never try to fix it? The short yardage situations comes immediately to mind. The long snaps aren't working. The one yard passes aren't working. Let's see something different next time. Isn't that what we are saying?

Have never been happier to be a Clemson Tiger

Oct 14, 2014, 12:29 PM

I get to go to games with son , who is a Tiger. My daughter, Tiger. Son-in-law, converted into a Tiger. Niece and nephew, Tigers. Fiance- a Tiger. Each weekend down is like a family reunion with friends, old and new. I can explain the place to people we take beforehand and know it will be exactly like that when we get there. Next weekend get to take 4 new friends for their first trip and know they will have the time of their lives, except one who graduated from Syracuse. Oh well.

So every pass isnt completed or every call not exactly perfect. Clemson is! That is good enough for me!!

( but i would consider going under center on anything and a foot )

Agree 100% - proud to be a Tiger and enjoying our current success and look forward to what appears to be an even brighter future with these great young men we have on the team.
