Not the best way to spend birthday. Supposed to be a simple procedure so hopefully everything goes well.
If I don't come back have crump send my steak knives to my wife??. No pics

Wife doesn't think I should go to the Wofford game bc of the surgery.
I told her I was going if she had to push me in a wheelchair.
Will miss App state game bc of something I can't reschedule. So don't want my first game in the valley this year to be Notre Dame on October 3rd.

John I truly hope your back surgery goes very well and is a 100% success for you. But hearing the phrase Back Surgery makes me cringe bc, back surgeries has me disabled from employment and most anything else at any level. But if you have to have it, I pray for you, and hope that Dr Johnson at SOUTHEASTERN SPINE INSTITUTE in Mount Pleasant is doing your surgery. Since my crippling back surgery, I have talked to about 20 people who has had back surgery through the SOUTHEASTERN SPINE INSTITUTE, and not one ended up like mine. My first back surgery started out as a "simple" procedure. Once it's done, they can't go back and undo it!!! My prayers are with you.

Good luck with that, I have had 3 back surgeries and still alive. I feel a lot better than I did before the surgeries.

Do what the Dr. tells you--EXACTLY--and it will minimize your recovery time. As a veteran of three L4/5 procedures, I know. Two laminectomies and a fusion 14 years ago. Still play golf with no problems.
What did you have done today?
