Well .. if the OC isn’t sure he may play, then who is? Hopefully great strides have been made from last season but … if it is the same as we saw last year and Cade isn’t put in .. so much for options and yet another nail biter. “We’ll see” would have been a better answer. Keeping the other team guessing is one thing, indecision or uncertainty from the OC is another.

Hahaha No! the proper way to read this is: This is DJ's Team, He is the starter and Cade who has earned the right to play, will play when the scoreboard says it's time for him to play! In other words when Clemson has a big lead and Cade can come in for mop up duty! They want him to play as early as possible to gather film! The film room will be Cade's best friend this year as he develops!

if Cade is not being trotted out there for the fourth series of this game regardless of how DJ is playing. Trevor was out there for the 4th series of his first game, and Kelly Bryant had a playoff appearance and a lot more rope that DJ does at this point. It will be a complete disservice to this team, and their long-term goals, to not be giving Cade the same opportunity.
I think we all liked how 2018, which in part played out by giving Trevor these opportunities to shine and play meaningful snaps!

Kelly had better prior year statistics than dj and he was replaced...fits were thrown by some of clemson not so faithful...we would have never won crap with kb...the only reason we got no respect from the talking heads last year is we had no qb...ESPN and others need no reason to dis ccc...and we don't need to give them one.

When is the public going to realize that Cade is not TLaw? Cade is nowhere near as advanced at this juncture as TLaw was in 2018! The coaches have made this clear in every interview since camp started! They are not talking about Cade anywhere near the same context as Trevor! People need to understand DJ proved to this coaching staff he is the starter. The true fans will get behind this and trust the coaches! If Cade was anywhere near the same level as TLaw he would be getting a series early in the first half to see. He would be destined to not only play in this game but play with the game in doubt. Only way that happens is if DJ (God forbid) gets hurt! Cade K may turn out better than any of the 4 predecessors at QB, but he certainly is not there yet! TO the FANS: Hop on board for the ride this year with DJ driving the bus, is going to be very special! 2016-2018-2022? Go Tigers!

Just because we signed a potentially good QB in no way means he is ready to play. What we know we from Dabo's history is that when he wants players to play, they will play. Thank goodness Dabo is in control not the fans.

David Hood has reported Klubnik has outworked every QB. Klubnik can start for Bama, Texas A&M, UGA and many others next season if Streeter and Dabo do not want to play him this season. He has options.

I remember reading that Cade works really hard, stays late after practice, etc., but I don’t recall hearing that he’s working harder than everyone else.

That was hard to find, you had to scroll back what a week? Lets just hope that the mighty yellow jacket defense doesn’t have Streeter as gobsmacked as it did Elliot last year. Remember his admitted confusion after the game? If I were Cade and DJ plays like he did last year, especially like he did against TECH, and I didn’t play for whatever reason, I’d consider any options I had.

He said Tech ran a defense we didn't expect. They were dropping up to 8 in coverage, and they'd never shown that on film. We adjusted to more a running game in the 2nd half, and won the game.

Listen, I hope all this rainbow and unicorn stuff we are hearing turns out to be true but never forget we were hearing the same crap about how great everyone was looking last year at this time as well and we all know how that turned out. It wouldn't surprise me to put up 40 and it would surprise me to put up 10. I'll believe we are improved when I see it, not based on coach speak.

It will be a bit of a red flag if we have the game in hand and DJ plays every down. I mean we need a backup who can come in and produce if DJ gets hurt or whatever. If they don't think Cade is ready to even step on to a field then he clearly is not yet that guy. Hopefully this is just a smokescreen to keep DJ from getting ruffled.

Why would he tell the Tech team if or when he will play? I think his answer is spot on…”we’ll see”. That’s what he should say. Some would only be happy if he said “yes - he’s going to play on the third series and his first play will be a 10 yard curl route to the right hash”.

It's not hard to figure out about Klubnik playing or not playing.
Here's what is going to happen.
DJ will start and play until the end with the following exceptions.
It's a blowout, he gets hurt, he struggles or they may put a few special packages in for Klubnik.
Not hard to figure out.

I think the expectation is that the only reason the game would not be a blowout is because DJU is struggling. So there are two scenarios:
* It's a blowout
* DJU struggles
At least one will be true; both could be true. In either case, CK plays.
