Billy Wiles left? Man!

Dec 15, 2022, 7:19 AM

I had forgotten we had someone named Billy Wiles.

Explain to me why we need four quarterbacks on scholarship when the coach only plays one not worth starting.

We had 6 QB’s when Trevor was coming in January as a freshman.
Lost 4 QB’s before Trevor played his first game, including Hunter Johnson.
Then Kelly Bryant, and Chase Brice had to come in to save the Syracuse game. Down to 2 QB’s.

Between injury and ego’s, you never have too many Quarterbacks! Dabo knows!

I just hope Cade plays like Cade.
He looked like he did his senior year in high school against UNC. Always under control.
Stays away from the hard hits using his legs like Patric Mahomes, or Trevor.
We need a championship with Cade at the helm! Start with the Orange ?Bowl!

Go Tigers, Whoop Tennessee!

Maryland probably needed the 4 QBs.

Oops needed 6th QB. Not Maryland due to their time in ACC but I hope the LB/QB shines getting Bowl win and MVP.

Dabo needs 4 QBs every year cause always losing too to portal. Cole's Era during Boyd reign last time I can remember QB staying couple years until able to start. Even with Dabo promising KB and DJ get to start season next year when become back up they transfer. Back in the bad 3rd or 4th string QB didn't have to be instant started material. Team knew that had at least 2 season to learn system. That's why today some QBs rotten at one school and shine at another school. When they fail at first they can jump to another team where the offense is more worked their strength. Kyler was terrible at Dad's TAMU but got Heisman at OU. LSU QB got Heisman but was terrible at his first school not sure think Big10 school

If Cade can play at Clemson with the same intensity and purpose as in HS we will be just fine! Saw one of his games on UIL replay last night and he looked just like he did against UNC! Hope he stays healthy cause tigers are going to enjoy the ride!

Even at 50% he would have been better than DJ last season. Not all on DJ cause the plays called the didn't work they tended to just keep using them. Like with Cole and DW Clemson's OC at the time tried to run same plays with DW and CS in the game. When OC left Cole totally rocked shined in the Russell Athletic Bowl 40-6 hammering OU.

Love this!

Reminds me of when I was taking my youngest daughter to pre-K many, many years ago listening to K-Love on the radio. They were talking about having conversations with your children about their future plans so I asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up.
As I looked at her in the rearview mirror sitting in her carseat she said..." I just want to be Story Lyn ".
I've never been more proud and happy for my child and assured her of it when I replied that's what I wanted too....for her to just be the best Story Lyn she could be.

Well, Cade may have just recently won the starting job, but

Dec 15, 2022, 9:59 AM

he already has his cliche' game in high gear. I am reminded of Crash Davis talking to Meat in Bull Durham. "Write these down! I'm just here to help the team win. You can't win them all. Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise, we will be successful."

:)

Lollygaggers!

Great memory of Crash Davis. He knew the drill. And remember what he told the Bulls’ manager to do if he wanted to fire up his immature, lazy players? “Scare ‘em. Wait’ll they’re all in the shower after a game and then throw bats at their legs and cuss ‘em out.” And it worked! The Bulls began to win. As for Cade, all I can say is it has been two years since we had a QB excited about anything. I wish DJ all the best in life, but I am so relieved the DJ Era is over at Clemson.

I was so excited for DJU to come in and start in 2021. Then the Georgia game happened, and it went down hill from there. Now, I'm relieved that it is over, and we have a QB1 that looks the part. We'll see how it goes, but I like what I've seen so far.

Hope he lives up to the hype for sure!!

Replying to the CS bowl game, there’s a big difference being thrown into a starter role and have 4-5 weeks of preparation for one game. He shined because his role had been rehearsed for several weeks and showed out!
