TNet Kweshun of the Day - Does the tier you pick at the car wash really matter?

I say no.

I think the sooper dooper $59 wax/scrub/rub/tirebrite/chamois/spitshine is no better than the $10 justrunitthru wash. I figuret the big rollers, brushes and rug strips still have the same wax and soap from the guy that just went thru ahead of me.

What's the verdict TNet?

I just let Mother nature wash mine. With a professionally ceramic coating applied to my car 5 yrs. Ago and updated every year, I have never washed it or put one drop of soap on it. I park in outside in a heavy rain when it needs washing. Take my powerful battery operated leaf blower and blow the beaded up water off and then dry it using soft towels. Car still looks like new.

I wouldn't necessarily say they are exactly the same, but there's no doubt the $8 basic drive through is the most bang for your buck by far.

The thing is getting that superb powerful enough vacuum that can suck up anything and everything ... even in what is in those hard to reach crevices on the inside of your car.

Never go through those automated types, as I don't

believe the brushes and super air blowers are good for convertible tops, which I have.

Friends have told me the full service prices are expensive, also, I simply go to a DIY, then detail myself. Cost about six bucks and looks as good or better than the automated services.

To a point. The ten dollar wash by me doesn't engage the tire and rim spinner brush cleaner thingy. Only the $15 and up ones do. So I always pick the cheapest one that includes the tire and wheels

The tiers here in da Sprangs are 6-8-10 at Ingles for a brushless wash

$10 gets you a squirt of RaineX and a blowjob as you drive out

Wonder if that's where Deshaun gets his car washed and waxed?
