I'm glad he's healthy again. We really missed him last year. Hopefully he can make a difference on the outside. I think we have a couple of good ones in the slot.

Back in the day, we had great receivers that adjusted to the ball for completions. Leggett, Renfro, Mike Williams, Nuk Hopkins all made major adjustments for critical receptions. They made our QB’s look good. We need to see the same performance from the current to be considered great!
Go Tigers, Beat Georgia! Alabama first!

Several in the receiver group should be able to open but it will take actual game time to prove this to be true or not. Looking for bigger and better things this year. Go Tigers.

Our WR room is extremely young

I looked at the roster and was surprised at what I saw. There is only one senior on the roster this year and most probably wouldn’t even recognize his name - Blackmon Huckabee Jr.
I know a lot of the instant gratification crowd will complain about this and say it should have been addressed by using the portal but for me, it makes me very excited for the future. The next 2-4 years are very promising when we look at this room. If we can avoid major injuries among the starters and a few guys develop over the next couple of years this could be a very solid group.

Stellato is a senior - it's his 4th year. He's a Junior in terms of eligibility.

Eligibility is what matters when you are getting excited about the future. Quite a few of our WRs have redshirted. That means they have had an extra year to mature and develop which is part of why I think the future is bright.

Eligibility is what matters if you are talking about eligibility. If you are talking about the age and experience in the room, Stellato has an extra year under his belt and is just as much a senior as Huckabee.

Unless your post is about the future. Try reading the whole post instead of just the headline.

Easy fella. I did read the whole post. You are addressing two topics...look at the subject line. It's not as young as you insinuate when you consider some of the "sophomores" are juniors by age, some of the "juniors" are senior by age, etc.

I'm with you rhettfla ... Love the potential of WR room. If Randall, Moore, Turner and Wesco can help open things up over the top and deep, the sky's the limit for Williams, Brown & Stellato to work underneath. Also, Riley has had a chance to implement his schemes and play calls this year.

Defensive Tackle. But, just like we have a paucity of Defensive End talent, we also have a lack of true outside threats at wide receiver. Hopefully Bryant Wesco and TJ Moore solve that problem, but as of right now, all that is untapped potential. Here's hoping the new talent AND the older talent all remains healthy, and produce the banner year that I believe we will this coming season!
Go, Tigers!

This article kinda begs the question of why the #### didnt we limit him to 4 games and redshirt him instead of having him play 5?

NUK Hopkins, and the hand fighting and other techniques he uses to gain separation right at, and just beyond the line of scrimmage. Our passing game woes the last several years have been a combination of poor QB play, dropped balls, AND receivers just not having the ability to get consistently open to be ABLE to catch passes thrown their way. All are important.

I think it's interesting that he's says "He means it this time" when he said the offensive is looking good. I knew the players weren't oblivious. That means last year Cade and the receivers hadn't looked good through camp but they gave the media coach speak. Which is expected to be fair. They aren't supposed to shake the boat or throw a teammate under the bus. Just nice hearing that we as fans aren't crazy when we see the offense not looking good. The players noticed too.
