(Hope I don’t offend MyfavOrange®.)
Since we are playing the Blue Devils, we are having (deviled) ham with deviled eggs, “deviled” crab dip, and devils food cupcakes. Plus, macaroni pie, corn muffins, crowder peas, etc. We have the tradition of eating the enemy before the game.
How about you?
Next week for us will be a little difficult since we are playing Buccaneers. Guess we can make some rum cake or balls.
Go Tigers! 🐅🏈

You are in MFO territory so tread lightly. Boiled shrimp and garden salad.

We cruised New England and Maine this summer and are now working our way back south.
Most likely some combination of oysters, clams, chowdah and lobstah. Blue Devils kind of have a lobster look.

There and we would take the executive team there in August to do our Annual Operating Plan for the upcoming year there. We would essentially take 1/2 the Spring House rooms over. During the day we would have the bar reserved for our sessions. The bar was hopping w/cougars every night and the place smelled stale beer and perfume till about noon when it aired out.
By 2PM we would go fishing or bike/hike the island until dinner when we would hit one of the local seafood joints. Loved how peaceful it was, also caught one of the biggest striped bass of my life there.

Smoked wings from Roller Mills Smokehouse in Clemson

Today, Wil at Roller Mills Smokehouse is open and selling smoked chicken wings for the first time. I've already gotten mine for tonight's game and they smell delicious. I know they will be great because the half chickens he usually smokes are always on point.
For the Charleston Southern game, I'll have to find some expensive corn to grill... A Buck an ear!

If you don’t live around the Greenwood/Saluda area you’ve probably never had BBQ hash like this. This Lowcounty stuff they pass off as “hash” pales in comparison. You used to be able to buy it at the Saluda traffic circle fire house and Greenwood fire stations on holidays as fund raisers. Rick’s BBQ on the McCormick Hwy by Connie Mack had great hash til DHEC regs closed em down. I’ve worked this classic recipe down to a close facsimile- only takes 14 hours to prepare!
UPSTATE SC FIREHOUSE BBQ HASH 25 pounds pork (no bones) 25 pounds beef (no bones) 10 lbs. baking potatoes 10 lbs. onions 1 pt. vinegar 1 pt. mustard 6 oz. Texas Pete 6 oz. Worcestershire sauce Salt and pepper to taste 1 1/4 lbs butter (not margarine)
Cover meat good with water. (We normally do this in a large black cast iron pot.) Stir meat with a boat paddle to remove any fat or skin. When meat is done and begins to come apart, you then add the cut up onions and potatoes. Add your seasonings and butter. Keep stirring to keep meat from sticking. When it has cooked down to the consistency you like, it's done.
GO TIGERS! _______________________
