but I just learned UM may only get a shot if Big 12 goes to 16. Couple of reasons:

1. UM has said a few times they are cutting some funding for athletics (makes no sense to me)

2. Big XII worried there may not be a UM after NCAA rulings.

I think I am giving up blogs and twitter until sometime official is announced. I can’t take anymore of this “It is my understanding”, “my sources say...”. They may all be right, but I’ve never seen so many people supposedly in the loop about a rumor.

The current Texas Tech AD Kirby Hocutt was AD at Miami from 2008-11. I'd say he has some good info to share regarding the severity of the violations.
