Take the ball or defer?

Usually I say defer, but UL has never had any adversity or trailed. Do you risk it?

Also, historically, our tempo offense has been much better on the 1st drive than to start the 3rd quarter.

Death Valley will be so loud on their 1st possession. I could see arguments for both.

the opening drive rarely means anything as far as the outcome. the second half kick is much more important cause usually speaking, you're either losing, which you absolutely need the ball,... or you're winning and getting the ball is luxury that the losing team doesn't have...

i'd NEVER take the ball to start the game, if i won the toss.
