I disagree. If there is no separation between the sophomore and true freshman and their senior counterpart you start the young guy/s. They will learn on the fly and by the time they are juniors and seniors maybe we will be talking about Chad or DeShaun as the next Tajh.

No offense to Stoudt, but if Watson is just as good or better its a better choice to have him play in the long run. He'll get to start with an elite freshman recruiting class and a ready to go sophomore class that just finished red shirting their first year. That's what FSU did, and look what happened.

We had a QB overtake the guy who started early in the year? I would like to see Kelly start. He seems like the more explosive playmaker to me. It's rare that a true freshman comes out and is head and shoulders above the rest. If that's the case next year it doesn't speak well to our QB coaching. Kelly should be ready to take over for Boyd right now. If he's not, well... smh.

On the other side, Kelly has that rebel attitude. When things fall apart and get nasty on the field, I think that attitude will be beneficial if properly coached.
Tajh was a great QB, but when things broke down on the field he got flustered and out of rhythm.
Kelly on the other hand seems to have that go getter attitutde. When things break down, Kelly seems to be the guy with the "I'm ending this bulls1t now" attitude.

I understand the stoudt argument but I really don't think he's the best qb for clemsons scheme. He's very good qb but I just don't think he fits what chad wants to do. Kelly and Watson fit that bill and Kelly should get first cracked at it. This is no knock on stoudt. If we ran a Alabama type offense then stoudt is the guy without a doubt

and a decent runner. Watson needs to redshirt and really recover completely from his last game injury and build up strength. Kelly needs to learn how to control emotions, but should be great change of pace back up to Stoudt!

seasons without causing turmoil...RS year, 28 plays in 2013 & maybe 50 or so behind Stoudt in 2014. He's already had a faceoff with Dabo & Morris about PT this year. Also, do you think Watson is going to hang around waiting for Kelly to graduate? I sure don't believe you can sit that talent for 3 years (with a RS) without him looking for greener pastures a state or two to the west of SC.
