Next season, will Kelly or Stoutd start, or will they give it to the freshman, Watson?

Kelly wins it, but DW pushes him hard and plays some.***

I worry about Kelly winning the starting role - he hurt himself just running without getting hit. Anyone watched Boyd getting hit lately? Kelly's injury may be a fluke, but he's going to have to be able to take some hard hits. For me - Stoudt is the #1 until proven differently.

Agree - without question Stoudt will be #1 at the beginning

of next season, especially if he gets some PT this year. I think Kelly will be a good one if he stays healthy, but he will have to take it away from Stoudt.

freak injuries happen even in non contact situations. I tore my ACL just playing some pick up football on bowman making a cut in a post route. I'm not worried about Chad's durability when he has to play

He still seemed to be pretty good when he came back.

Jk. I don't think we'd bring in Watson without the promise of starting. Especially since he will be on campus in January. You don't let a 5 star QB sit on the bench and mull a transfer.
Stoudt is very good and serviceable. But he is a back up for a reason. Yes, Tajh is great but Cole has great numbers in mop up duty. Nonetheless he is accurate and intelligent. But Watson is indeed our future.
But its great to have a "Cullen Harper" backup. Sure I'll catch hades for this...

is very bright and throws a much better ball than Kelly. Kelly will not start a game at Clemson and will probably transfer out after next year so he can play somewhere.....Unless-
a friend of mine lives in Columbus OH and is an OSU season ticket holder and he says there is talk about Watson's recent positive responses regarding OSU. It is being said if OSU reaches December undefeated headed to NC and Miller is first in line for Heisman, Watson could flip at the last moment.
A lot of if, buts, and maybe.

Truth be told, ya never know with kids until they sign. Hope his Mom's a Tiger Fan.....

What makes you say that? Is it the:
"Where are you going to school?" "Clemson." "What other visits do you have left?" "Only Clemson."
He seems like he is ready to flip at any minute. I know Auburn fans who think he is going to end up there next season. I'll bet a year's tuition he ends up at Clemson. You just hope to god we don't get the best QB in the country.
That being said, I agree with the Stoudt comment. I'm a big fan of his and expect him to fight for a job next year.
