Running up the middle is not a problem if a receiver is positioned to receive and finish the play. Running into traffic for the sake of running into traffic leads to problems.

FSU is thin at DT. I’m sure FSU is trying to shorten the game to minimize snaps. We want more snaps due to depth. Working the middle might pay dividends in the 2nd half if we can get to a high snap count.

That’s my best guess.

For once I believe there is a method to their madness. FSU is now gravitating to the middle almost every play leaving 1 on 1's on the outside.
