Starter vs Furman

May 14, 2012, 9:50 PM

Are you guys thinking that Jack goes with Haselden tomorrow against Furman instead of Kent like he did last week against Tennessee Tech?

Other than Haselden, we'll have Kent available for relief, maybe Moorefield and Bates will be available again as they didn't go too long. It's too bad they couldn't get it done and we could have saved Firth. I'm guessing Gossett won't be ready yet either.

Otherwise, while it was unfortunate to see Meyer struggle, but that was undoubtedly Andrews best outing yet, and against the #1 team in the country no less. Certainly encouraging heading into the post season.

I think we're lucky to have gone 5-2 the last two weeks without Campbell & Brady. The team has been playing tough, which you love to see. Hopefully they can keep it up once Brady gets back in the rotation.

1. I'd say Gossett could probably go. Wouldn't expect him to go deep into the game, but he could go.

2. Brady will be brought along pretty slowly I think. Most likely will start out as a reliever much like he did last year, just to get everything back fresh. I wouldn't expect a start from him until the end of ACCs or into the regional/Omaha play.

Haselden will get the start against Furman. Let's hope he pitches like he did against Tennessee Tech.

Haselden has struggled this season.

After his outing against TT, I hope he has regained his last season pitching strength.
