Stadium plans to be approved tomorrow

Jul 6, 2021, 2:04 PM

Are a downgrade from the original. Nothing in the east but a new scoreboard. Ni new seating as originally planned. I guess the lowest interest rates in history weren't low enough.
Capacity bring reduced from 81,500 to 80,050.

Article on the clemson insider. Didn't feel like taking the time to link.

I don't think anybody's plans survived COVID unscathed

Sure, they had to downgrade the plans a little, or rather delay the part to add east seating, but the stadium is going to be much more modern now. Our 'tron will actually be impressive instead of embarrassing. The lost seating will be added back before too long, I'm sure.

Well, that sucks for me. I am in Section O in WEZ currently. I have a feeling my seats will be removed due to the renvovations. Since no new seats in East end zone I will probably be booted up to the skylevel seats in upper deck. Price of progress I guess.

We desperately need a new video board.***

To be honest I didn't like the rounded off look of those corner east endzone seat sections anyway. Reminded me of that awkward ugly Liberty Bowl Stadium in Memphis.

The scoreboard is the immediate issue that needs to be addressed. I am glad the BOT is still reviewing and putting us in shape to continue to recruit and provide a game-day atmosphere at the highest levels. Texas A&M is rated fourth in the recent AP poll and it's not because of the coaching but because of the facilities.

I would make sure any improvements made can be cash flowed. Something tells me additional funds are going to be hard to come by soon

And for the record, we would like a new video board , we dont technically need a new video board. If we’re going to beat Texas A@M for recruits by sheer stadium upgrades, then we better find another 200 million somewhere
