Sometimes it bothers me that I'm 57 years old and not.....

younger like a lot of you guys until I remember how many great Clemson games and wins and big moments I've actually seen in person since the early 60s - you younger guys can only hear "old guys" like myself talk about them or watch a replay, etc.
Just remember that one day you'll be 57 and talking about how "way back when" some former Tiger great named Boyd threw a great pass to a guy named Hopkins.

years or so, I'll be figuring out what to do for the next 15 - 20 years....nevermind that I'm 65. I plan on living long enough to see all these 21 year olds GET TO BE OLD FREAKIN TIGERS so they can see how it feels to be called OLD FARTS! lol

in the glory days of Clemson football.
From 78-88 a lot of history was made.
a bunch of farm boys from upstate SC went down to Miami and beat the mighty Nebraska Cornhuskers with most Clemson fans wearing either white or orange overalls.
I sat in that stadium just dazed untill they turned out the lights .
Man, the battles with UGA, UNC just awesome. Chicken George and Herchell too.

Clemson was great when this 72 year old was a Tiger and it will be even greater when you 'kids' make I to that age. Support Clemson in a positive way .... all the time.

I always enjoy tailgating with the older guys because they have the best stories. 50's and 60's is still pretty young.

Larry Hefner, Jerry Butler, Bennie Cunningham and Bubba Brown play, then you've missed a lot of great Tiger football! I'm 59, and I'll always remember sitting in the upper deck smoking a cigar after we beat UGA and Herschel in '81. How sweet it was!

I have never seen the Tigers academically and football-wise be on a better upward curb - President Jim Barker and Dabo are the best I have seen here. All in! Nobody has talked Nat. Championship aspirations that I remember.
And to be in top 25 academically is simply amazing! I am so proud of the growth at Clemson!

I'm 59 and completely understand where you are coming from.
I remember well being in the same hotel as the Neb. band and listening to them tell us the day before the game how we were nobody and shouldn't be playing them. After the game my brother and I went up to the 5th. floor where they were staying and I've never seen as much crying. They did admit that we were a better team and fan base than they were led to believe.
By the way, I've missed a total of three home games in the last 53 years.
