Not true. 4 season tickets would be 2k not counting iptay donation which would need to be pretty significant for 4 tickets and a decent parking pass.

At this point, you’re paying for markup. Face value of the ticket I think is like $90? Might be $120. Some people will buy tickets for the season and a much cheaper cost, and then make money back by selling some of their tickets.

Face value is relevant if you ignore the IPTAY donation required to have the right to pay face value for said tickets. If you want to buy good seats (lowers) you had best budget for some fraction of the seller's IPTAY donation.

I love people that won’t contribute to Iptay and get their own tickets.
Then want tickets at face value. Then ask” why are tickets so expensive “. ?
Dial 1-800-Clemson and get your 2024 tickets lined up. Sheeeeesh.

This post made me realize non-donors do not know prices anymore. If you wanted to buy tickets on the AD website in early August the prices were: Notre Dame $265, FSU $165, UNC $100, GT $80, and only $25 for CSU. If you were to buy any of these, they would be as high as you can go in the North upper deck. In recent years, Clemson has radically spiked the prices for big games

What’s face value? $100? That’s actually low compared to other big programs.
If you’re complaining about having to pay $500 for a ticket, that has nothing to do with Clemson.

The secondary market charges whatever they think the ticket is worth. Last weeks game wasn’t worth much so you could get really cheap tickets. FSU is worth much more…
It’s really not hard to understand.
Have fun in Jax.

Ticket prices plus seat equity. Face value for the FSU game is $125 per ticket. Seat equity in the prime seats is $129 per ticket per game. Weight it toward the primo games and it's even higher. That's a minimum of $254 per ticket that it cost the ticket holder.
It's the price of Clemson football in this day and age.

I believe that if you sell your tickets and include the cost of your IPTAY dues in the sale, then you shouldn’t be able to write off your dues on your taxes…

Old rule was 80% deductible if you purchased tickets. The rule is 0% and has been since 2018. Then again, maybe IPTAY is wrong and should look into it
For gifts made to IPTAY in the calendar year 2018 and subsequent years, under the new tax legislation, these donations that also confer seating rights to Clemson home athletic events may no longer be tax deductible as a charitable contribution

Inflation and fuel cost are driving up everything. You don't think the upper shareholders are going to absorb the cost are you? It's the have and have nots and socialism doesn't have room for a middle class.
