He failed to impress against SC State and UConn last year, so 275 yards and 2 TDs would be huge improvement.
I still remember Cullen Harper going like 20/22 and 275 yards and 5 TDs vs CMU. That should be the standard against a team like Furman.

Look, if DJ gets 275 yds passing, 2 TDs and no turnovers... and looks really sharp leading us to a comfortable lead before handing over the reins to Cade in the 3rd quarter... then yes, that's a good start.

(275 & 2)? It's 2022, the trainers could get those #s vs Furman, maybe if he puts up 5TDs
400 yds, comp%65+, 0 TOs) in roughly 3 quarters but it's still FURMAN. He couldn't pad his stats vs SC State or UCONN, so I don't expect big numbers or significant improvement in efficiency-

There is nothing DJ can do in the Furman game that will make people happy. If he has an amazing game its just because he played Furman. Anything less than amazing and people will want his head.
Not approaching this from either side... just saying that it's a lose/lose for him if Klubnick plays well at all.

It feels like everyone (minus a small group of miserable people), want DJ to succeed.
This may not make sense but for me to start being excited about DJ, it’s going to require him (and the rest of the O) to be excited. He doesn’t look like he’s having fun playing the game and that attitude is palpable. He could lead us to a 3 point victory and if it looked like him and the rest of the team had fun, I’d count it as a win.

So 275 and 2 is your benchmark for a “good” qb performance? Since he went for 210 and one TD (and one lost fumble) against GT your logic can only mean he had a bad game against GT.

Against Furman he should beg forgiveness...should have had that in the first half...this is a upperclassmen not a freshman...also a so called number one has qb...great leader, good kid,probably great student and quite enough qb for many on this site! How many games will it take...if we lose a couple no natty no playoff.

The receivers should be able to get separation against the Furman DB's, if DJ is accurate tomorrow, he should have those numbers before halftime.
