if they can ignore the divisions winners and take two best teams to play for ACC title. Why doesn't this genius just put Clemson in coastal? Thoughts on this?

year is not the answer. Winning in the regular season vs. FSU gives us a shot at the league title most years. If we're not beating them in the regular season then we don't deserve to be there. This isn't a good direction for the league to go.

a playoff in the same year being in the same division. If they then played a 2nd time in the championship, it would be impossible to get 2 in.

How much better would an FSU/ CLEMSON ACC championship have been than a Duke/ FSU? How many more tickets would have sold?
But, because FSU ended up in the NC it would hav been a travesty to Clemson to have beaten them, and it would have kept us out of the ORANGE BOWL having been beaten 2 straight games.-- really bad for confrence.

This all started because GT sucks! And had no biz in ACC CG

@ 6-6, and frankly we didn't really belong in '09 when we were 8-4with VT being 9-3
We ended up 9-5 @ #24, VT was 10-3 @ # 10

Because you don't change the divisions every 3 years.

Just because both us and FSU are good now doesn't mean this will be the case a few years from now. A few years ago VT was dominating the conference, and Miami before them. Things change. You don't realign the divisions based on who has had a few good years. Was this a serious question?

Miami has never "dominated" the conference. They've never even played for an ACC title. Their best conference record in one season is 6-2. They've only won two bowls since joining and one of those is the all mighty MPC Bowl.

Sure they can recruit. But they don't win a whole lot. Miami has been VT's little sister for a decade now. Blame in on the coaching carousel or probation but they aren't that good.

Look I know Walt gets a bad rap every now and then but the dude knows his stuff. He lives and breathes sports 24/7. Swoffie gave us the round robin for the baseball tourney. The peckerhead is just trying to bash Clemson, again, like an extra years probation. Remember that? Long time ago but I will NEVER forget.
