What's in your Roku? -- I see unplugging in my future

Now have ESPN (YES!!!),CBS News (60 minutes, Morning show, etc), Fox Now, Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, PBS, Smithsonian Channel, Syfy, ACC digital network (weak, seems like a waste), Rush
Aereo TV will be available soon in the DC area if I want to be lazy or I can get a digital antenna.

It knows where the beef is, knows what Meatloaf won't do for love....it washes the dog, bags grass clippings and fetches beer from the fridge.
the question isn't what it doea, but can YOU do for Roku

they just enable you to reel it in w/ a remote antenna and offer DVR services....you COULD set up your own system that'd be cheaper in the long run...and at this price point, it would be the LOOONG run, and maybe not worth doing

I'm waiting for the new simple.tv to come out
Nov 14, 2013, 10:18 AM
|

which might've been yesterday, actually...or the 20th
it had a 2 in it....
however, I don't currently have an antenna set up (so i haven't made the move), as I was 'worried' (aka, don't wanna deal w/ wife's bravo/lifetime/A&E obsessions) about other channels, and non-network live sports.
the addition on WatchESPN on roku has solved my problem enough. Also, finding out that I can also now access the NFL network and Redzone (see my other post) helps...still would like the new foxsports channels, but I hear that's coming around..
I talked to someone yesterday about purchasing their gen 1 Simple.tv WITH lieftime subscription cheaply, and that supposedly carries over to new hardware....

camera all the time. Nothing staged, just the real life #### that I get into. If it takes off, I will get paid handsomely enough to live ever night the way I lived the 2013 Clemson vs Georgia weekend. Only bad part about that weekend was I got way more lovin' during the 2003 version.

ARE YOU ME???
ESPN (da bomb (not nuk), thank you sports gods...might cut the cord now) Hulu + (Don't think I have a need for Fox Now, unless you've got a reason I'm not aware of) PBS & PBS Kids ACC DN (yeah, waste, but why not?) Vudu PLEX (haven't really messed w/ it yet)
Pandora
uh...nowhere channel? ADC, OV GUIDE, CRackle...other random 'movie' channels with horrible low quality selections that I never use....

dunno...haven't set up the netflix...acutally, gotta do that
Nov 14, 2013, 10:31 AM

soon...have to 'activate' the 3 free months from my chromecast before the end of the year, but can tack that on to the 1 free trial month too...
I don't think i'd have the need for netflix...I don't watch a hole lot of movies, and when I do I have tons of other free (that my parents pay for) options.
