I assume Dabo’s contract is still a top 5 in the country. So he’s getting paid as one of the top coaches in the country. Which I believe he deserves based on resume. Certainly had us at the very top. Perhaps only 2nd to Alabama.
Question is where is this program now? Where are we ranked in the country as a program?Are we still a top 5 program? Are we playoff contenders?
Interesting that I don’t hear a lot of excitement about the 12 team playoff. I always thought we’d be a shoe in. Have we fell so far that we aren’t?
We have one of the highest paid coaches in the country but it’s starting to feel like that’s because of past accomplishments.
Is Dabo still a top 5 coach in the country? Is the program still a top 5?

The facts are all I pointed out, Shane is a poor man’s Dabo or so my neighbor keeps telling me. My neighbors behind me both graduated from chicken U.

1) if a question is serious, you don’t need to label it as serious as readers would recognize it as such
2) almost every salary is based on past accomplishment. The exception is folks who work on commission, tips or get paid by the job.

Or usuc coaches. Can’t argue they are paid based on performance, at least salary based on long term success. Not too much of that going on down there.

Hard to say.
I do like the coaching changes.
Subjective "ranking" is just that....subjective.
With the ridiculous disaster called the Portal, my guess is there will be some changes in what's allowed moving forward.
But, "college football" no longer exists.
I'm just glad I got to see it when it was really special.
What we now have is pay-for-play.

I think it will still be great, but I also dont like the changes. It's not done. There will be some great days ahead still.
