I’ve never seen a team so totally enamored with the shotgun formation

Don’t get me wrong, it’s got its place.

But when we were on the one inch line - what the heck?

Correct. That is totally insane and that just goes to show you that Dabo is in charge of the offense because that is what he has always done. Crazy!

Champions of 81, clearly you don't watch much football. A team having a QB under center pretty much went away years ago.

Not in the nfl the eagles do the tush push and it works,no reason to be in shotgun at the one yard line.Just plain stupid too be 4 yds deep and hand the ball off with the back having no running start, your setting yourself up for failure.And by the way that was a saftey because the ball was across the goaline when hit.W e got lucky on that one.

And 100% of nfl snaps within one yard of the offenses goal line were taken under center

What is the % for D1 teams? Maybe they base it on % of times it comes into gameplay and can only have so much practice time toward certain situations and just dont feel comfortable with it. Not sure just asking.

I remember checking on this a couple years ago. IIRC, something like 60 something percent of running plays were from under center.
