Riley is a huge waste of money and Goodwin is a huge waste of space.
Prove me wrong.
Some of the calls and formations at critical moments were nothing short of asinine.
So sad for the players. Go Tigers Forever!!!!!

Watch the game.
When a play needed to be made, offense or defense, the coordinator calls were low percentage at best and low reward in general. Of course the 3rd and inches in overtime with a pass to the sidelines is easy to spot. But how about Cade's fumble? Why was he even dropping back? Up 7, driving in FSU territory and trying to work the clock. The smart play, and winning play for that matter, is to protect the ball and run the ball. Two examples of several but if you watch the game, second half in particular, look at the down/distance/field position situations and tell me that the coordinator calls put the team in a position to win. They didn't.

By the way, we out gained Duke too. Coaches and coordinators aren't hired to gain more yards, they're hired to put up more points.

Riley is a good coordinator. Dabo overruled him and got ultra conservative. If you watched him at SMU and TCU you would know he’s a wide open guy. Dabo just put shackles on him

Both Riley & Goodwin called good games overall except in a few moments. Obviously Goodwin got called out by Dabo in 1H and Riley (or Dabo, whoever called the last 2 plays) should have run the ball with Ship & Macau both in the backfield. That’s been successful all year.

I disagree that they called good games "in general". But, even if I concede that, it's "the few plays" that make/made the difference. Making the right calls at the right time is what wins a close game. Neither Goodwin nor Riley has shown their value. Not yet anyway.
