Seems everybody is anticipating a close,

Oct 14, 2013, 11:34 PM

hard fought game Saturday nite. How wonderful it would be if our Tigers just came out and beat the living daylights out of them - like 45-24! Tajh and company can definitely do it!! Conference title on the line - undefeated on the line - Heisman on the line - Get it done!

If we execute on offense the way we are capable of, and play defense like we did in the second half on Saturday, then we should expect a win.

Rah,Rah rah, thing is FSU is just as capable
of beating the living daylights out of us,especially if we play like we did against N.C.State and B.C.
In fact,I think this will be a close game with the winner not pulling away till midway thru the 4th.
And if Tajh is thinking of nothing other than the Heisman, then I expect a reversal of the score you think we win by.

what if jameis (whatever)winston is also thinking heisman ?

Oct 15, 2013, 4:18 AM

tajh has more maturity to be able to handle the situations that both qb's (and teams) will find themselves in saturday night. i'll take a fifth yr.sr. heisman hopeful qb over a rs freshman heisman hopeful qb. (especially when he's in an hostile environment for the 1st time) everyday. everything else (offensively and defensively) being similar ,makes it even easier to go with my tigers. remember too, fsu also struggled against bc.

True, but this is not going to be the blow out GreyBengal
seems to think it will be.

Sgt, I don't think this will be such a struggle 4 our Tigers

Oct 15, 2013, 4:49 AM [ in reply to what if jameis (whatever)winston is also thinking heisman ? ]

I think our defensive line will crush FSU's running game. I know they'll break free a couple of times and gain some good yards but they won't pound the ball and control the clock with a rushing attack. Think UGA without Gurshall.

Our LBs played BC 'lights out,' and I expect they'll continue to exercise good gap control.

Winston has been getting away with his sandlot football moves because he's been faster and more talented than those who've broken through his line and chased him around. That ends Saturday. We have some of the fastest linemen in the game.

Winston might hit a few timing patterns and gain some first downs but when it comes down to brass tacks we can stop that enough to disrupt their play calling.

This isn't going to be a struggle.
This has the makings of a barn burner.

Read the subject line again, leftie.

Oct 15, 2013, 4:59 AM

This time don't leave words like 'such,' out, please. I'm not saying the boys won't have to fight and play hard. I'm not saying it'll be like the Wake game I'm saying it'll be like Cuse.

i will definitely go with our tigers . i was saying i like

Oct 15, 2013, 8:43 AM [ in reply to Sgt, I don't think this will be such a struggle 4 our Tigers ]

chances with tb at qb, much better than i do theirs, with jw at qb. i will also venture to say that we come away with at least 2 int's, passes that are badly thrown by jw ,while being constantly harassed.
i'll go with something like 34-21, us.

sounds like

A rematch of 09 leftie

Yeah,

ESPiN has hyped FSU and a RS freshman QB all year. They've played exactly, "NOBODY."

The gamblers are soaking this crap up like a fluffly biscuit sops up watery gravy and putting all their money where ESPiN's mouth is.

they beat a top 25 team 63-0

Oct 15, 2013, 6:10 AM

Each of us has played 1 top 25 team. UGa is 4-2, Maryland is 5-1. We've struggled against a couple of bad teams. FSU has destroyed everyone with the exception of only a 14 point win over BC. FSU was up 21 points in the 4th but gave up a TD which made it closer but still out of reach.

They were also losing to BC at one point 17-3.

Oct 15, 2013, 8:03 AM

It took a hail mary just before half to tie the game.

BC had almost 400 yards total offense and 34 points against FSU, we held them to 14 points and less than 290 yards total offense. Our offense had just as many total yards against BC as FSU, we just puttered around and had four fumbles and two botched FG's.

I don't really put much stock into comparing how two teams played against a like opponent. It's fun to speculate about, but at the end of the day, both teams are 6-0 and ranked in the top-5. They've passed each test along the way, regardless of how it looked. It all comes down to Saturday night in Death Valley. Go Tigers!

"Because at the end of the game, everyone knew that they weren’t that much better than us or better than us at all."

agree 110 %. fun to talk about, and occassionally argue

Oct 15, 2013, 8:47 AM

about, but that's it. in the end, you can gain very little to nothing from the comparison.
