B1G not gone super expansion mode. B1G went from regional to national which is jarring to what we're all used to, having gotten so used to nice, neat geographic regions and their inherent rivalries but the change was made and here we are. I imagine the prospect of the B1G adding some southern schools doesn't sit well at all with the SEC. Imagine the B1G having 3 distinct regions of the country, all with powerful brands. In that scenario, being such a strong regional force like the SEC kind of pales in comparison. So maybe the mere threat of that happening caused the SEC to change their thinking and they decided to add maybe us, FSU, NC and one other school, maybe Miami or UVA. More of a defensive move than an offensive move if you will.

The move I am waiting for is the B12. The big 12 has so many teams now, they can create their own playoff and nation championships. Just take the deal to Amazon, apple or Netflix.

Va has always been bad. Can't see anyone wanting them. They bring no eyes to tv because no one cares about them. It would be Miami or possibly Louisville which makes Ky/UL rivalry game a SEC conference game.
