Rosters need to be expanded to 95-100 Scholarships

The volume and velocity of roster changes is almost impossible for coaches to manage. One easy move in the right direction would be to expand rosters to 95-100 scholarships. This at the very least mitigate some of the attrition.

Yeah, the number was reduced to keep big teams from stockpiling all of the best players - even recruiting someone to keep them from playing for a rival.
If anything, we need to reduce the number of scholarships. Nfl teams play with 53.

11. Starters on offense and 11 starters on defense. 3-D gives you 66 players. Roster of 85 gives you 19 for special teams, kickers, and extra players at selected positions. The best way to have some semblance of parody is having a smaller roster size. The big NIL schools Will always be able to buy who they want. Sometimes they’re going to want the wrong people or players will get injured and other teams have a chance.

This is more like a pro model which makes tons of sense however...the big NIL schools will just buy walk-ons a scholarship.
It's time for a salary cap, it's the only way around this mess.
For the love of the game, someone needs to step in and build some guard rails so there is some sense of a level playing field. It will be for the good and sustainability of the game.

i actually think it should be much smaller like 50 players, and if injuries happen oh well......put someone in, bored of all this redshirting and 45 players sitting on the sideline who never get in the game. lets get on with it.

The NIL and transfer advantages are already outsized for the programs with huge budgets; letting em sign more players would make it even worse.

I favor a cap on transfers. Something like you get 3 to 5 transfers and beyond that they subtract from the 25 allowable recruits per year or put the total cap at about 27 to 28 for transfers and high school recruits.

The 25 initial counter rule is history. The only limit now is the 85 cap.
