Why is Trump pro Putin?

Don’t get me wrong, I certainly can’t defend the Democrats suggestion that the Russians overturned the election.
But isn’t it so odd that Trump is such a cheerleader for Putin and Russia? I’m sure most of you have seen his positive comments about Putin in the last several days.
The worst case scenario is that Putin has something on him and for that reason he has to defend Putin. My gut feeling is that’s probably not true. If I had to guess why Trump is such a fan of Putin and Russia, the only thing that makes sense to me is it has racial overtones. If Russia is anything at all, they are a very Caucasian nation. Perhaps the most Caucasian place in the world. I just can’t think of anything else that makes any sense. If it’s not racial, then it’s Trump’s love of an authoritarian regime. If not these two factors, what else could it be?

No it doesn’t have to be about race. But give me an answer to my question? Why do you think Trump is pro-Russian? Don’t you think it’s odd? It really is strange. How can anyone defend Putin? I didn’t say the racial card is the only possibility. It could also be Putin has something on him or Trump loves the idea of an authoritative regime. Can you come up with another possibility for why Trump loves Putin and Russia so much?

Biden’s hardline on Putin for invading Ukraine is to reimpose the exact things Trump was doing to Russia when they weren’t invading anyone.

Because: “Why does Trump defend Putin and Russia so much?”
I’ve never heard DJT defend Putin or Russia. Why don’t you tell me about ALL of the times that he has.

That is crazy. Just Google Trump‘s name and Putin and you will see what he has said about Putin in the last several days. He said he was a genius with his strategy.

He wasn’t defending him, he is basically saying that Putin played Biden like a 2 bit ####, which he did.
You could have just read the 100s of other posts in here today about the same subject.

Trump signed a bill that passed 377-48 in the House and the Senate passed it 86-8 that had a section that put sanctions on Russia for Nord Stream 2 in 2020. Trump could have vetoed it, but he would have been humiliated when both houses of congress would have easily overruled him with a 2/3rd's majority vote. In other words, Trump was irrelevent here and didn't have to answer directly to Putin since it wasn't his fault.

The whole Trump/Russia collusion

has now been proven false. So let it go.
In order to gain strength in your position, you have to give some sort of praise to the opposition. It’s a sales/influential tactic 101.

Not the point. Still no one has given an answer to my question. Why has Trump defended Putin in the last several days? Just don’t get it.
