That is wrong because we will no longer have a chance for a signature win to help our strength of schedule.

I loved every minute of it.
And, upon further review, I have this one thought: Maybe Kelly knew what he was doing when he took the LSU job.

You just have to understand that every team wants to win, some more than others.

The ND and TAMU losses reenforces an old adage:

Never take ANY opponent for granted.
Any team can be beat on a given day, if the opponent has their number, so to speak. That's why our Coach constantly stresses taking one game at a time.
When you enjoy a certain loftiness, as we have, you better bet opposing coaches are going to study, restudy and study over and over again our strengths, weaknesses, trends and tendencies. Then, they'll try attacks based on those. Furman burned us in the air, hitting on many, missing on few. They attacked our offensive line repeatedly, effectively shutting down our offense in the second half.
Of course, I'll rely upon our staff, but we better believe La Tech will see our weaknesses and attack full main. My personal opinion is our staff has a heck of a job ahead tweaking both our offense and defense.
GO TIGERRRRRRS! BEAT LA TECH!

Marshall beat us on our home field in TB’s home debut. They are good football team.

Playing the way we played yesterday, Marshall might have been able to beat us too.
That is what I thought of Marshall and Appalachian State.

very little difference between average and good, good and great, and great and excellent. I think the same when comparing players between the top 25 teams, the next 25, and the next 25 after that. The differences might be an inch or two per man on the OL or DL; a difference of a tenth of a second in the 40; 20 more pounds in bench press, etc. Regardless, there's not some huge drop off in personnel between ND and Marshall....A big difference is found in confidence and bounce....If the "better" team plays with exuberance and smarts, they will blow out the "lesser" team. If the "lesser" team plays like they can win, and the better team is not engaged, then teams like the mighty Domers better watch out!

They have to assume the blame. I expect a really bad season for them.

I was pleasantly surprised. I do like what I have read and seen on Freeman though. Seems to be a good guy. 0-3 though is a tough start.
Was it Bowden’s first year when Marshall came in and beat us at home?

Notre Dame will have the season to figure things out. Its first two games into the season have not appeared impressive.
