What a crazy a$$ game...My thoughts..

Good teams win those though, you need a little luck and we had good and bad with more good at the end.

First off, we need a new punter. Teas is the worst starter on the team IMHO with Fruhmorgen a close second.

Turnovers ebb and flow but we need to get into a dry spell. McCloud seems to have lost his confidence fielding punts. I'd say put Hunter back there before it costs us a game. Having back-up RBs in the game who aren't used to carrying it all the time is a ticking time-bomb. The non-targeting call cost us a score and lost us Gallman, both bad luck leading to another turnover with our backup RBs in the game. I think it's safe to say at this point that Dye isn't a great option at RB.

Play calling has something to be desired. Sending Watson to the left with a slight blocker against four NC State LBs was ridiculously insane on the 4th and goal play. Poor design and call all the way. I bet if NC had our offensive players we would have been killed today.

NCST has a GOOD defense, wow.

East Carolina put 30+ on NC State. We are lucky to get 17. Even with the TOs my best guess is our OCs are cutting their teeth at this great roster's expense.

With all that being said, we won and I am excited that we could survive a game like that. I hope it helps us going forward.

Stealing that game made me think of the Alabama - Mt. Cody FG block against Tennessee, the Clint Sterner fumble against Tennessee in 98, and our missed FG at Auburn in 2010. Championship teams need some luck along the way and boy, did we get some luck today.

Still...we've got lots of improving to do if we are going to remain in the championship hunt. Hard to disagree with any of your thoughts.

It was just a weird game all around. There was good luck and bad luck...and bad calls enough to whet everyone's appetite to gripe. Clemson tried their best to beat themselves...that's for sure.

That everybody is just giving Clemson their best shot. Clemson has achieved elite status and every opponent wants so much to defeat them. Close wins will be something we'll have to get use to. Pass the tequila please!

I'm disappointed in the play calling! And what happened to the up tempo method.. why have we slowed down? I think Deshaun thrives in the fast tempo much more than what we're doing now!
