???. Yep 3 points is bad. I tell you he made some awesome adjustments. Offense looked a little better in second half. Not as impressive as last two games but hey maybe a bit of a hangover.

So far, all these new coaches do is win. Haven’t lost a game since they were promoted. If Brad can get a raise in losing games, maybe these guys deserve more for winning. Time will tell. Our defense is getting better at adjusting, but coach has been calling a good game. A few times last night, he was late getting the call in. I guess coach V trained him to well.

With a patched up crippled secondary they hold them to three points. Secondary and total defense has improved dramatically the last two games. I'm no sunshine pumper but this defense is going to get better and better as we get additional players back and continue to clean up a few issues. Wes is getting it done. BV was coached off the field today and set yet another record for defensive futility. I won't bring up the others. The sun doesn't shine on the same dogs rear every day.

Why can’t someone have an opinion that isn’t based on being a total homer without everyone name calling? It’s okay to disagree with someone, but do we have to call him a coot and the other unpleasant things that people write? Really? That’s the state of our fans? Disagree with anything and we bash you? Grow up!! We don’t know yet how good or bad Wes is, it’s too early to tell. He’s learning how to call a game which is totally different than just game planning. BV was great but there were some epic losses that BV wasn’t so great!! BV was not a great game day coach. Couldn’t make adjustments on the fly. (See Ohio state and the sugar bowl or LSU in the CFP title game). The one thing I’m really liking about We’re is his ability to make adjustments. He made them a little late in the wake game but his adjustments in that or sealed the win. Don’t agree with this comment but I don’t think that’s worthy of calling the person that made it ugly names. Y’all should be ashamed of yourselves

I understand your sentiment and actually agree with it. However, not as it relates to this original post. There was no opinion, just a slam without anything to justify it. heat of the moment criticisms during games that don't age well, but this is on another level. BC had one decent quarter of offense against our defense, only scored 3 points in that stretch, and then got absolutely demolished the rest of the game.

I was ready to leave him at Wake after witnessing all the points we gave up but he keeps getting better.
He is a little slower to make adjustments than BV was but he has not had a "loaded gun" yet with all the injuries we have had.
The 2nd half against NC State and BC were fantastic adjustments.
He gets a B+ from me as his mid-season grade.

I disagree. I like Wes and think he will be a great DC. He’s definitely learning on the job but I think he is progressing nicely. A lot of people forget how bad Brent’s defenses were at times. He had been here for years when we couldn’t stop a shovel pass in the Pittsburgh game. Which we lost by the way, even though DW4 threw for over 600 yards. Why not wait until we lose before you write Wes off.

Agreed with our defensive injuries I’m not sure where the criticism is coming from. Not justified imo.
There were games I was surely not impressed with our defense under the current OU coach either. Guy has coached 7 total games in his Clemson career.

I was happy with the second half adjustments Wes made. He seems to be growing as each game passes. Let’s give him a little more time. BV was not a great DC while at OU. He too grew after each game when first hired at Clemson.
