“In great shape” I assume means we win the games we’re supposed to win down the stretch.

And I’m sure it doesn’t factor in inexplicable losses.

Based on recent and past history, with this team and coaching staff, nothing is a sure thing.

We need to just let things play out as there are too many unknowns about the remainder of the season.

If we would just win the games we are supposed to win this discussion would not be happening. Without the upset losses to Ga Tech and NC State at home, Clemson would be in 4th place in the conference with a relatively easy road ahead into the tournament.
But we continue to find a way to lose the games we should win, so here we are ...

And we are 7th in a 15 team conference looking up at the likes of Pitt, Wake, and NCSU, with what's supposed to be Brad's best team ever. He will get an extension this year, then without Hall and Girard we will start another tournament drought.

The challenge we all face is when we ###### defeat from the jaws of victory. I actually think Brownell is a good x and o coach, but his management of emotions and game feel are where he stumbles (and historically recruiting though that seems to be improving). Problem is when you don’t have a court full of five stars, you have to capitalize on the “easy” ones like GT and NcSt when you are not only the better team and the home team, but you were winning late and choked. Those 2 games this year take what should be a cruise to the finish and turn them into stress.

Last year was Louisville and SC amongst others.

All of this leads fans to feel frustrated and untrustworthy of CBB’s teams. We all know we’ll make the tournament this year barring a disaster but you can’t trust we’ll win any games because of that pattern. We all still have the scars from football under Bowden so this feels familiar.

If he had just one excitement cell in his DNA the 2 point loss to Memphis, the 3 point overtime loss to GT, the 1 point loss to Duke, the 1 point loss to Virginia, and the 1 point loss to NC State, with just one human excitement cell in all that body of his, we probably would have won all 5 of those games. But bc nothing can excite that man, we have 5 losses that we probably shouldn't have bc he couldn't uncross his arms and get just a little bit excited!!!

Or hurt it. I doubt we will stay the same. Let’s hope he improves it. Today matters about 0. We’ll see where we end up.

Bottom line, Wednesday at GT is our 1st Playoff game to get in the NCAA and if we win that game the FSU game will be the 2nd. We cannot afford a Quad 4 loss. Our A game has to be on the court Wednesday night.

There will be some Q3 games but nothing close to a Q4 game down the stretch. Obviously don't want to stack up Q3 losses though.

This is the truth. Our resume only matters if we win.

Momentum does nothing for this team, we beat @UNC by 4, next game we beat @Syracuse by 9, next we beat by 17, next game we lost to NC State by 1. If the Momentum of 3 straight wins allowed us to a bad NC State team in LJ, then Momentum does our team any good at all!!!

to win heading into the late stages. Hopeful the mindset is to play to win these final 6 games instead of playing not to lose, and finish out on a positive note with a NCAAT invite and not squander the opportunity away with a late fade and being just short at the buzzer.

Go Tigers! TCB!

Looking at the net you see why Clemson will be in the tournament.
Purdue stayed at 2nd after the loss to Ohio State with the interim coach.
Ohio State went from 72 to 64.
Clemson needs to quit losing to lesser teams. If they could put it together and win the next 5 I believe they will finish 4th with the games the others have yet to play.
