Rematch vs South Carolina?

I'd love the Orange Bowl and everything, but what about asking for a rematch with South Carolina in the Chickfila? Tell me that wouldn't sell tickets.

Correct! Clemson doesn't get a slice of that old SEC moneypie, so BCS money is more important in the long run.

bowls don't do rematches. coots are going to the capital one or cotton, depending on winner of allbarn/mizzou. no way coots fall to chicken samich bowl with 10-2 record.

I wish them to a good bowl game against a good team so they have a good chance to loose.

it's not so simple as "rematch". Until the Clemson coaches own up to their issues and face what mistakes they are making, it won't change. There is no indication that they have. They will continue to get schooled by the ole ball coach. They aren't ready for a rematch.

The Clemson coaches need to "own up" for the turnovers? Do you really think the game plan was to turn it over? There is very little a coach can do about that once the game has started. I can't stand the hating on our coaches for things they can't control very much at all. Yes we lost and lost bad, again, but I don't think they automatically win a rematch on a neutral site. Bowls don't do rematches you say? I say look at attendance for bowl games and maybe they should in certain situations.
Of course, I'll be happy about the Orange Bowl too and we could matchup well, but I'm much more concerned about Alabama than I would to be to see Tajh Sammy and Vic get one last chance against the coots. And yes, I am willing to take the possibility of more embarrassment for a win over USC. Every additional day we go without beating them is already an embarrassment.

Take a look at the first and second turnover

To me that says it all about coaching...or lack thereof in those two instances. Not going to get into how wise the trick play was when we were driving nicely with no tricks...that speaks for itself. But...here's the coaching...take a look at Sammy...he gets the ball and heaves it up in no time...he never sets his feet, positions his body, or checks for defenders around the reciever. He has plenty of time as there are not Usuc defenders around him. He should have been coached to like a QB if he was going to throw to do all those basic check downs. If he had just not throw a ball to the back corner of the end zone all would have been well. So...he either wasn't taught all the QB checkdowns or they didn't drill it into his head enough.
Second turnover was worse coaching. Where was Bryant supposed to be and why was he flying in out of control towards our punt returner? During the Ga game we had a punt about hit one of our guys and roll around in the endzone until one of our guys picked it up and ran it out. Almost very costly. We are very poor at player positioning during punts. That's coaching. Bryant should have had a lane he was to block. Sure the "game plan" wasn't for turnvovers but it seems our coaches are missing something in their drills or practice.

Point taken on the first turnover, but if Sammy threw that ball with the velocity a typical eighth grader could throw that would have been an easy td. We should have just stayed conventional and rammed it down their throat though.
Second one, call me a skeptic until I see the play diagram where Bryant is supposed to wildly run towards the punt returner. I think it was Martavis being Martavis and he simply made a mistake in getting anywhere near Humphries.

You missed the point. We didn't need a trick play.

Trick plays are for teams that play against teams that are better than them. ie our game with FSU in 2012.

Even if it sold tickets, what's the point. Even a win in a meaningless bowl can't erase 5 straight seasons of double digit losses to the coots when it matters most. Had we won the regular season match up ,we would have been top 10 instead of looking up to the coots at # 8.A win in Atlanta might move us up,but probably not enough to relly matter for next season. Besides the final results of a bowl game are not, imo,a true indication of your preseason ranking next year.

We were the better team this year. I doubt we turn the ball over that many times again. Put us in the fast track dome against them, and we'd get it done.
I als am willing to bet quite a few of their players, including Clowney, will miss the bowl game for academic reasons.
Dabo would get the monkey off his back, and the next Clemson winning streak would get an early start.

No! Why should Clemson drop to a lower tier bowl just to play USCjr?
