USC #4???? You've got to be kidding me!

Top ten I understand.... Clemson went to a BCS BOWL and won might I add, and lost to two ranked teams.... One of those teams were crowned National Champions.... And the Chickens were also ranked. USC loses to UNRANKED - Tennessee, and Georgia.... And don't get a BCS bowl bid.... #4 Sounds a little suspect to me. For one I believe Oregon, Oklahoma, and also Stanford would beat the coots....

I'd say that it's as legit as us being ranked ahead of Bama. It is what it is. If you gave me this back in August, would I be happy? I'm not sure, but I wouldn't be ticked off about it.

I agree w you in that probably every team in the top 10 behind USuCk would beat them. Granted Clemson lost but without our own mistakes w win that game. But the way the bowls turned out its understandable that they ended up 4. They did not lose late and other teams did. So what though? They end w a #4 ranking but accomplished absolutely nothing, must suck to be a coot today.

Without mistakes most good teams don't lose games. Mistakes are a part of football, always will be. I'm sure the Coots are happy with their #4 ranking and #5 repeat. I'm sure the Coots are also happy that it bothers this fan base so much.

They should be proud of the fact they finished with the record and ranking they did. Best year ever in their history, still Only One BCS Winner in the State of South Carolina.

Vandy has won 14 of their last 20 overall games. 5 of those were not SEC games. In their last 20 SEC games they are 11-9.
Vandy has not finished with a winning record in conference in the 40 some odd years I looked at.
Duke on the other hand.......

Who did Bama, LSU and TA&M play out of conference?
Bama: Virginia Tech, Colorado State, Georgia State, and Chattanooga LSU: TCU, UAB, Kent State, Furman TA&M: Rice, Sam Houston, SMU, UTEP
The wins over UCF and Clemson put them where they are, not their SEC schedule.

I think your rankings make way more sense. I really can't understand either, how you get to be #4 in the country when you lose to an unranked team and it took 2OT and some real luck to beat Mizz.

Beating top 10 teams > losing to top 10 teams

Beating top 10 teams also gains more positive attention than losing to an unranked team draws negative attention.

A #1 Ranked Florida St. And a # 4 ranked USC on the road which I think that is overrated... And won a BCS title I'll take that.... The coots higher ranking just makes us look better, thanks coots ????

How is Georgia ranked when we play them and not when the Coots play them a week or two later. Have it both ways much? Take the Tigers and Coots out of it and let them be two anonymous teams and the Coots would still be ranked #4. Get over it and quit fooling yourself. They deserve the ranking and the Tigers' ranking ain't bad either.

Some of you people I just can't believe.do you think the tigers should be ranked higher than usc? They lost midway thru the season to a unranked team and manned up and took care of business after that . The tigers got stomped and I mean stomped by the National champions in death valley and cruised into willy b thinking this is the best team both schools have had in over 30 years and you would be right .but even a bcs winner tag cannot remove that taste that times have changed and USC is better....

Clemson being better or should be ranked higher than USC.... I simply don't believe USC should be ranked 4th after there overall performance.... And yes Clemson did get crushed by FSU but the difference is it was against the best team in the Country....
