Has anyone considered, when players depart top-end programs such as Clemson and UGA, that the circumstances for their departure may have ‘arranged’ by the program?

Look at UGA’s list of portal deportees … big names when in HS, but minimal production in college. When this type of under-performer leaves, it opens up a spot for new HS and Portal players.

I’ll bet donuts to dollars (donuts are more valuable today than dollars) that both Clemson and UGA ‘tell it straight’ to the under-performing player; that player then decides to leave sooner (rather than later) which then benefits the team (and also the player).
