First and foremost we need to give Wes Goodwin a raise. .

Secondly, I'd like to see Mafah as the back and run Shipley in motion out for passes more if they both return for next season. Putting an OLB on Ship would free up Briningstool a lot more for 1 on 1's with a slower MLB over the middle seam.

What do the experts here think?

an Etienne and just make any current RB on this roster a non-issue. we gotta get some speed back at that position. Both of these guys can't bust a big run.

Yes, the Tigers do need more speed at rb. But let's not forget what Phil brings. He's a monster and will probably only be bigger and stronger in 2024. He's great in those sticky, tight situations.

Wondering why you would be concerned with Wes's salary. Do you think Wes is having a tough time making ends meet on $850K per year?

Clemson, under Dabo, has a strong track record of paying assistants top dollar so why would Wes be any different? Do you think he will bolt for a few $ more after Dabo moved him from staffer to coordinator completely skipping the role of position coach?

No I believe Wes is doing fine with his salary.

But it's clear who the best coordinator on the payroll is. Or at least this year it was clear.

He needs to be making as much if not more than Riley and yes Clemson needs to do this to keep him here building for a long time like what we had with Brent V.

Wes is growing into an excellent coordinator IMO and will be compensated appropriately in due course. I suspect we will see a big jump in offensive production in Garrett's 2nd year, especially with Luke pushing the OL.
