what on earth has happened?
The ACC has went from the no doubt #1 basketball conference to the mountain west getting more teams in.... ESPN is no doubt behind all of this IMO. They have been going out of their way for YEARS trying to disparage the name of this conference. The facts are clearly there.
Virginia is a tournament team
Pitt is a tournament team
Nancy state is a tournament team
Minimum.... AT MINIMUM this a 7 bid league.

ESPN does love themselves some Cinderellas. The more Cinderellas that get in, the higher the chance one or more will make it deep into the tournament and increase viewership. Though invitations are supposed to be mathematically-based, so there's that.

The NCAA runs the tournament. That should tell you all you need to know. Furthermore, I could care less what happens to other ACC teams. They can fall off the face of the earth for all I care at this point. All they do is take $ out of our pocket and hold us back.

It’s a lie. Tell the lie long enough and people will believe it. Even over the last ten years, the ACC has won 40% of the championships. They have won more NCAAT games than any other conference. They have more elite 8 and final four teams than any other conference. If we go back 20,40 years the ACC really dominates the NCAAT. The committee will be forced to add more teams. UVA, Nancy St, Pitt, Clemson, Dook, UNCheat all deserve a spot in the NCAAT. Even though we know clemson will perform the worst. We will see it play out. The ACC will have representation in every level of the tournament as we always do.

Props up the SEC. If you build enough teams up then when you lose to said team it is not deemed a bad loss.
At least that’s how I see it.
Football side is ridiculous. There is Bama and Ga. LSU gets propped up and gets beat by FSU 2 straight years.
FSU has had a good but not great team for 2 years.

I agree the ACC should easily be at least a 6 bid league with UNC, Duke, Clemson, UVA, Wake and Pitt. NC State is too little too late unless they win the ACCT but they are better than some of those teams on the bubble so the league has 7 teams that are worthy but 6 should be in. The narrative drives this whole thing and as bad as we like to think the Tigers are right now we are still better than a lot of at large teams that will get in

The hard truth is that ACC basketball is not as good as it was. Blame whoever you want but maybe if we beat Morehead St in a home NIT opener we’d get more respect. The Brownell bros pretend a 5th-6th place finish is something special in a watered down conference but it’s not.

You guys just don't understand how tough it is to play in the Mountain West. Every week your up against Air Force, San Jose St, Wyoming, Utah Tech A&M, etc
As far as the SEC just look at the Quad 1 records for two of the top 10 NET teams:
#5 (in the whole nation) AUBURN 1-7
#8 ALABAMA 4-10
I did make those numbers up. NET tells us that if you lead the NCAA in Q1 losses you are guaranteed a high ranking and plenty of respect.

ESPN has a narrative that protects its SEC investment. All of their opinion is actually advertising and propaganda.
Fox news is all opinion that drives conservative narrative.
MSNBC and CNN is all opinion that drives liberal narrative.
All of these networks select news bites that support their view and ignore the rest.
A lot of people think all this stuff is fact and refuse to see the driving force in the background and mindlessly swallow it up. It seems there are very few people willing to think for themselves anymore.
The selection committee is, for the most part, among those that confuse fact with propaganda.
Football is guilty of the same thing.
Just my opinion on the matter. Take it or leave it.
