I had no idea he was still around. he is "Senior Advisor" to Mack Brown and some NC fans are blaming him for the issues with game management.

I saw a guy standing by Mac w a notebook. I guess that was him. I had no idea who it was. Probably monitors the analytics.

If UNC's overhyped qb was half as good as they think there wouldn't have been a problem for them. And the stand if they didn't recruit you thing was bull. How many of them. wpould have come if they had gotten CU offers. I think the lure of under the radar and no classes or tests would have been too attractive for them to pass up going to uNC

I am not sure I would label Maye over-hyped. I thought he was head and shoulders above any QB we have played this season.

He threw for 209 and rushed for 70. He was sacked four times and should have been sacked 10 times.

A QB can elevate talent only so much. Andrew Luck at Stanford, RG III, Cutler, etc etc.

The UNC QB will go in the top 10 (and I’m being conservative).

Our defense does that to good to elite QBs. Remember Brock Purdy’s last college game was against us and we made him look below average. Now he is playing good for the 49ers.

and I see he took over at APPst in 1984 “after” Mack left there..

which makes sense that Coach Brown can trust Sparky and his many varied experiences.

Always liked him when at uscJR even though his records were very average. Sorta our Red Parker or Ron West version of likable coaches.
