Some obvious reasons why the Big 12 would not work...

May 14, 2012, 9:30 PM

-crappy college towns (except for Austin)
-conference belongs to Texas
-crappy academics (except for Texas)
-money spent on travel costs alone would negate any money gained from TV deals
-Barker and the Clemson administration would surely be against it
-not at all a cultural fit
-sure, no one gets excited to play Wake Forest at home. would anyone really get excited to play Iowa State, Kansas, or a post-RGIII Baylor in Death Valley? hell no.
-oh yeah, and there's this whole thing where Clemson in the Big 12 will NEVER HAPPEN! hahahaha, I still can't stop laughing...

I would love to play all 3 of those teams in the valley. and Baylor, Kansas, OU, and OSU all have good academics

- How many of those twons have you been to? I've been to almost half and they are just like any other college town.

- No it doesn't. All member schools have signed over their tv rights for 6 years and soon to be 13.

- Crappy academics....again it's an athletic conference so does that really matter?

- Negative ghost rider. The ACC got a 1 yes 1 million dollar bump per year. Even if the travel cost tripled we would still net an additional 8-10 million per year

You sir are an idiot.

Austin a college town? Crappycollege towns? Ever been to Lawrence, Norman, or Stillwater? Not bad at all....much better than Winston-Salem, Durham, and Raliegh. Nice second post.
