There is no QB competition. Dabo and Da Chad have their minds made up.

From the game today it seems like the offense clicks better when #4 is behind center. His passes are sound with a quick release and he makes up his mind and executes. The one run he made up the middle was very good (the cut he made to get upfield was better than many of our RB's).

But like I said, Cole is the starter and has done a fine job. We are going to sink or swim with him and the more quacking the media and fans do regarding Watson, the more stubborn and defensive our coaches are going to be about it.

However, from my ignorant point of view, Watson should be the starter by the end if the season. I just hope we don't suffer a loss or two beforehand.

Regarding your first paragraph...

Did Cole NOT do those things?

Coles release is very slow. He can't even hit a bullseye on a screen pass. He should have been picked multiple times. I want a national championship. It was reachable if DW was in the drivers seat. But, I can Kiss that goodbye.

Correct. The best chance for us to get into the Final 4 is with Deshaun at QB. The time is NOW!

If "knowing all of the play book" is what is keeping DW from starting then the problem is CM and his play book. DW appears to have Charlie Ward/Manziel/Winston type football skills. Ward did start as a freshman against us no less and beat us. The only reason Winston didn't start as a freshman is because of EJ Manuel a first round pick. We went conservative at Uga because as CM said, bad field position. If our senior qb supposedly knows the system so well we wouldn't have clammed up. If you can't trust a senior qb to open up the play book then why not start the more talented freshman. I think DW would have gotten more first downs against Uga and we would have been in that game with a chance to win at the end. Absolutely could not have done worse than 15 yards and one first down. If CS plays half the snaps in tally then we lose. DW gives us a legitimate chance at winning every game. And the problem isn't Cole, it's the staff for not realizing it. The point is it isn't necessary to have the most complicated play book in the world especially when you have a five star talent at qb.
On a side note: DW will destroy the coots. They have no defensive line push and play a soft zone coverage. DW will be hitting targets, running for first downs and doing it at high tempo. He will own them the entire second half It could be the most lopsided win since 63-17.

Nearly threw 3 picks, had to settle for a few FG's....

Underthrew an easy TD pass to Adam Humphries who had his man beat by six steps, the ball hit the SC State nickel back in his hand. Missed a wide open Mike Williams coming across the middle. Missed an open Demare Kitt coming across the middle. Threw a pass right to an SC State linebacker, who luckily dropped it. Had Charone Peak wide open on a deep pass, waited to long to throw it and under threw it, allowing the SC State DB to catch up and nearly intercepted the pass. Threw the ball 10 yards over the head of Germone Hopper, who was wide open in the flats for a TD.

If you look at the stats it looked like Stoudt had a good game. If you watched the game it was a different story.

We have a problem if the coaches are being intentionally...

stubborn to try to prove a point they can't prove.
