UGA OL dominates line of scrimmage.
UGA has legit vertical pass game.
UGA receivers make big plays.
UGA uses it's tight ends to extend run game.
UGA always has a kicker.
Kirby is running a NFL program.
I am not looking forward to opener. I am betting Dabo does not portal build us. Cade does not develop. Our receivers stay about the same. I hope we don't get embarrassed.

Lol, yea really impressive what they are doing to a team that is missing 18 starters. You can make excuses all you won’t for UGA. They were not impressive against GT. And they were losing to Scar at half time. Scar was never had the lead against us. I just noticed for some reason you pointed out the Kentucky game as a measuring stick lol.

The last time we played Georgia they beat us 10-3, without scoring an offensive touch down. And that team won a Natty. This Dawg team may be as good, not sure. I think if Clemson has great Spring and Fall practices, and some of our young players show up, it could be an interesting match. Georgia definitely the favorite, but Dabo and company will give them a good game.

My point is that our incoming talent and our talent development is lacking.
D.J., by all recruiting metrics was 100x better QB than Bennet. UGA developed Bennet. We have digressed DJ and Cade.

Right. Stetson did not play a snap vs Clemson. And JT was injured at that. He wasn't able to attack downfield - all of his attempts were short to mid-range throws.

To beat Georgia. We have to play the kind of defense where things don’t become a foot race. Anyone who wonders about our 2023 team speed can look at multiple instances of Nate Wiggins out running our entire secondary to make a play. Nate was an exception for us. It’s not that Nate made incredible plays and ran down the other team. It’s the way he ran past everyone else on our team that worries me.
We won national championships with linebackers like Ben Boulware and Kendall Joseph. Safeties like Jadar Johnson. But there was future NFL talent all around them, and better overall speed than we have now.
Look at the starters on defense for the 2018 national champions. Just about everybody got at least a cup of coffee in the NFL and many are still playing.

Reynolds…you are correct.
There is a noticeable difference in size, speed and physicality. I see Georgia play live every year. The difference is extremely noticeable. Some people don’t want to hear it, but it’s the truth. Scary thing is Georgia rarely uses the portal. These are all kids they recruit and develop.
There has been a measurable drop off since 2018. Got to get that back.

UGA definitely has an advantage on us regarding to total talent. I do like our recent coaching changes and new coaching hires. I really like a lot of our talent and believe that we can beat anybody if we play well, especially if we eliminate turnovers and preventable mistakes, such as not recognizing a Corner blitz that leads to a fumble six.
The primary reason we got two national championships and six final four football appearances is that we out recruited, Georgia for Deshaun Watson and Trevor Lawrence. Georgia got who they wanted in Justin Fields, but they didn’t put him on the field in 2018 - their mistake. Of course, lots of other personnel decisions went very well for us.

I agree with everything you said. Too many here see it through an orange lense.
I’ve never seen our OL get bull rushed like they did yesterday. UGA’s los puts KY’s to shame. Just don’t see how that issue can be reversed next game up. And Ship was getting blown up.

Anyone who thinks we realistically have a shot at winning the opener next season is blind. I know a lot are high off that comeback win yesterday vs an awful UK team, but truth is we don't possess the speed, physicality, and consistent QB beat UGA...
Getting a new QB is an absolute must in the next recruiting cycle...Klubnik is awful and he is not what we need in under center to be successful.

My purpose of this post:
Hopefully get everyone to take the orange glasses off and demand a portal OLine that let us compete for a natty. As a whole, our team is not bad. Not bad at all. BUT, Our OLine needs to be sent packing and portal built. I line is terrible. We also need a couple tall receivers.
Not a realist on here would not trade O lines with UGA in a heartbeat, given the chance.
We also need a top tier tight end. A few position coaches still need replaced. We need to portal in a proven kicker.
This team does not even resemble the natty winning teams.
