If the hill is going to continue to be about 60% empty when we run down it, perhaps it should pause being referred to as the most 25 seconds of college football. It is a little embarrassing to say that with a bunch of green grass around the players as they sprint down it.

It's only students now. Back in the day when it was open to anyone,it would be full soon after the gates opened. It was a preferred spot to be back then. My seats are in UK. Both games so far students are coming into that section and others looking for empty seats with people having to make them move out of their seats.

If you are looking at grass and not excited about the atmosphere or the upcoming game, then maybe you should go cheer for someone else?

I personally don't think fans on the hill make it exciting.

What's exciting is the team riding the buses around the stadium, emerging from the buses, and gathering at the top of the hill with 80,000 screaming fans. Then rubbing the rock and running down the hill.

It would be exciting if there were no fans on the hill.

Sorry you have not been to games the last 40 years. The hill is rarely full and as spoiled as kids are today, it probably will never be a popular student ticket.
