Must not feel too confident about Watson's commitment.

Jan 14, 2013, 12:43 PM

In it hard for a 2013 QB and offered a 2014 qb out of Texas. Think Dabo knows he's gotten burned this year by de-commitments? I say go after everybody, if they de-commit because they're scared of a little competition, I don't want them anyway. I want confident, almost arrogant players, especially at the QB position. Not Arrogant like obnoxious, just that sure of their own abilities. ALA Brett Favre

We just lost a QB to transfer and it is better to be safe than sorry in this situation.

Well, we have no depth behind Watson if we don't

bring in someone considering we just had a QB transfer.

You don't bring in a #1 dual threat to replace a 4th stringer

he is here to be the starter and not a just in case of injuries

Considering Watson said he wouldn't take any visits after committing to Clemson and now taking all kinds of visits I don't blame the Dabo crew for making sure we keep great depth at that spot no matter whether we get him or not. I have learned never to doubt what Clemson staff under the "lights" of media to keep us in that top 15 recruiting spot and giving us a better chance at winning championships.

Honestly, where does this stuff come from. We do have to have backup QBs. You cannot just get his commitment and stop recruiting at that position for 2 years.

This thinking is how you get yourself into the position we are in now with our WR unit. 5 scholarship receivers going into next season.

I'm glad we're

going after Woulard (sp). He'd hopefully be an upgrade over Roberts and....I wouldn't place any bets on us keeping Watson, even if The Chad were to stay.

Well one QB has transfered already, and it's likey that two

more could leave with Boyd coming back and Kelly likely to move into the #2 spot.

McNeal was hurt, probably never play QB at Clemson but he can with his talent make a very good QB at a mid level school.

Stout is to good to sit in the 3rd chair and never play. He'll end back up in Ohio playing mid-level also IMO.

if those two leave who's left. They need some backup QBs and with DW taking all these visits and Morris not a sure thing to be back for a 3rd year if Clemson wins' big this year, and they will. DW likely going somewhere else.

so they need a QB this year and have more in the pipeline for next year. I think they can do much better than the kid from Texas who very small.
