why do guys who have been told that all their playing days need to relearn that in college. Not like its brain surgery

Because he never really learned it the first time. He didn't play much football in high school - he was pretty much a track athlete who converted to football IN COLLEGE. Certain hard knocks and yips and embarassing Learning Experiences other guys get in high school, he never got.

Big ask, but he's got legit physical tools, if he can make the transition.

He didn't convert to football in college. Where do you get your info? He had D-1 offers out of high school. Not a ton of them but still had them. He rushed for almost 200yds against Clowney and southpointe in the playoffs. Had like 1600 yds his Jr year in like 8 games. Converted him to WR his SR year if I'm not mistaken. Don't remember as much now.
