LB play will be greatest factor in UGA game. Agree?

I think we all agree our offense will score points. Maybe not every drive, but 80% of the time points will go up on the scoreboard.
I think our defensive pass rush will be great for the first game and will help our secondary in that regard. It will be enough to hold off UGAs pass attack.
The BIGGEST key IMO is how our athletic group of LBs will handle the PA and RB draws by the dawgs. Their RBs are so talented our LBs cant afford to take a misstep biting on the run then leaving our middle wide open but they cant sitback and let UGA setup screens and draws they will kill us all game!
LBs, play smart!

It's all important, but on defense, LB and DE play will be critical for us and DE and secondary play will be critical for UGAy. On offense, interior line play will be critical for both teams.

though. Our blitzing schemes with our LBs and Safetys could be scary good.
Theres alot of 'could be's, 'potential's.
Our front 4 being disruptive is a MUST. Thats the most important.
But the darkhorse. the key to our dominance, not giving up the big plays will lie in the second level with our LBs

Excellent points, and I concur. Our defensive front and LB play will be critical in this game, as well as others, but I believe we have turned a big corner on that front.

Every position on defense is important but the defensive line is the most important. Clemson runs a 4 man front I believe so the most important position is the Defensive Tackles. If UGA can block them 1 on 1 or double team but come off the block, Clemson LBs won't have a chance when there is a 300+ pound guard on them. For UGA's 3-4 scheme, the Nose Tackle is the most important position. If the big man can be blocked 1 on 1 or cant sustain the double team, UGA's inside backers will not have a chance. For pass rushing situations, the Defensive Ends are the most important position for a 4-3 or 4-2-5 defense. If Clemson can't get pressure on Murray, he will have a field day. For UGA in pass rushing situations, the Outside Backers are the most important position. They are the wildcard because they can cover or rush the passer. If they cannot keep contain or get pressure on Boyd, Boyd will have a field day as well.

getting big yardage and they've got to stop the short across-the-middle passes. Our whole defense has got to be sharp also - line and DBs, too.

With all the speculation in this whole thread is just that, SPECULATION. Our D was clicking along pretty well in our last game. BV will have our D ready for the Bull Dawgs. And Our Tigers will show the Dogs that a Big Cat is the Alpha Male that rules Death Valley....

The key will be the play of the DL. If they can clog the run lanes and pressure the QB, then the rest will get the job done. Those are big if's, but I believe we will be up to the task. BV is so far ahead of where Kevin Steele was, and our Defense will be just fine. I really don't think their Defense will be able to contain our Offense, though, and the pace we run will be a beast in hot, muggy August, even at night. I see a lot of players (ugay players) leave with cramps.
