questions made the conversation extremely interesting. If you could travel back in time to any historical event, which ones would you go back to and would you try to change it.
An example, if you went back to Dec. 7, 1941, would you alert the American Navy? Would you stop J.W. Booth from assassinating Lincoln?

miniseries, to me. It deals with exactly that, someone going back to stop JFK from being assassinated. Stephen King goes to great lengths to show that history is "obdurate", and does not WANT to be changed, and will throw obstacles in the way of those who try.
I have always been a sucker for time travel, loved BOTH movie versions of "The Time Machine".
And, before some of your times, an old TV series called "The Time Tunnel" was good as well. ABC's recent "Timeless" was also excellent.
OOPS, forgot my favorite of all the time travel series, the original Quantum Leap. Dr. Sam Beckett forever!

Just FYI, this book was turned into a mini series on Hulu with actor James Franco. I watched it about 3mos ago and really liked it.

Since many good ones have been selected already I would like to go back to our last presendential election and share some events that will soon follow under the new administration that I feel has out our country in jeopardy. Had we know ln then what we know now!
With that I would need to change my second one which is the announcement of the Afghanistan pull out.
Both have opened pandora's box and been dangerous mistakes.
However, voters were alerted and biden not been elected then that second event would not have happened so my 2nd change would probably be at Gettysburg.

lot better for the South if Abraham Lincoln had still been alive.
Conversely, Viet Nam could have turned out even worse if JFK had still been alive.
We will never know either of those things. History does not want to be changed.

There are too many to list, but assuming that I would be able to come immediately back to the present afterwards:
I would visit the Garden of Eden before the fall of man.
I would visit the Red Sea at the time Moses parted it.
I would visit the Tower of Babel.
I would visit ancient Egypt to witness the building of the pyramids.
I would also visit Ezekiel at the time he saw the "wheel" in the sky.
I would visit Roswell, New Mexico at the time the UFO with aliens allegedly crashed.

Im with ya on some of these. Like the Red sea, Egypt, definitely Roswell but I have to add a few more:
Really like to see land of giant dinosaurs.
Like to see Mars when it had oceans and potentially other life, billion yrs ago.
Like to see the lives of Native Americans before Europeans and Spaniards arrived.
I am sure there are a couple more times I wish I could see with my own eyes.
