Clemson scored 14 on Tennessee with CK. Know who scored more than that on Tennessee? Missouri and UT Martin. (We won't even mention South Carolina.) Clemson had one offensive TD against Duke, off a gift at the Duke 18 yard line. If you want to base that all on CK's inexperience, have at it. It seems to put you at odds with everyone here and reality in general.

the portal, and even without the portal we have the 5th highest Blue Chip ratio in CFB. There may be one day to use it - that day is not today. Dabo has said as much , which is a critical point that Pate just ignored. So, no, he's not "right".
And again, we scored 14 on UT with a true freshman QB making his 2nd start. Even still, we actually had more passing yards, more rushing yards, more total yards, more TOP, and more 2st downs. What we didn't do is make red zone opportunities into points, a common problem for young quarterbacks.
Do you even Logic, or are you just another UGA dumbazz who licks his own Butt? Don't answer, I already know....

I commented on Pate's video. Makes no difference to me if Dabo sticks to his guns on the portal or puts Granny Swinney on scholarship to hold on extra points.

I've heard all of this I can stand.
I'm tuning it out.
Time to quit beating a dead horse. The coaches we have and the players we have will do the best they can do in each of the 11 games left to win. And we will support them. When the season is over, Dabo will evaluate the program and will make any changes he feels necessary. Anyone who thinks he does not want to win another natty is crazy. That is going to be his goal as long as he is coaching CFB. At least I hope it is.

Pate called this one. A lot of us have been sharing frustration at Clemson’s lack of using the portal rather than giving a scholarship to another walk on. It’s starting to show. Same with assistant coach choices. Goodwin was apparently hired without even considering an outside candidate.

The comments he played that he said early in the summer were in a segment called, "What if..." Viewers write in and give hypotheticals. "What if Bama goes 8-4 this year?" "What if Texas A&M goes 6-6 this year?" "What if Ohio State loses to Michigan this year?" Etc.
He comments on those hypotheticals. He says, "I'm not saying it will happen. I'm just telling you what would the results be if it did happen."
He didn't call for Duke to beat Clemson. He, as he admitted in this video, he predicted Clemson would win and would cover the spread.

Don’t know if anyone reads Fansided. They had an excellent article on Brent Venables and Chad Morris in their first couple of seasons. They struggled a bit, too. Clemson was trailing Wofford at half time at home in Morris’s first season. Then we beat Auburn when they were reigning National Champions. The article also addressed the transfer portal. Great reading if you’re interested. If this program can move forward we have hope. We cannot live in the past or compare ourselves to others.

I like Josh Pate. I subscribe to his channel. Listen regularly. He is one of the very few people who can sit at a microphone and speak for an hour and do so in an entertaining and informative manner. He is very gifted in that specific area. (You may or may not like his content, but you have to admit he is one of very few people capable of delivering it that well. I make this comparison: Josh is to college football talk media as Rush was to political talk media.)
But, Josh is overreacting. That's part of his schtick. He's fun to listen to, if you just remember part of what he does is overreact.
Never get too high over a win, or two low over a loss.
If Clemson had won the game 45-10 and totally dominated Josh would have overreacted the other way.
"Dabo saw the problem and corrected it. He went out and hired Garrett Riley. Watch out football world. You got to kick Clemson around the last couple of years, but no more. Yes, Clemson will win the ACC. Yes, Clemson will make the playoffs. And, the scary thing is, they will be even better in 2024 than they are this year. Write it down. Clemson is back. Better than ever."
