I understand Dabo's frustration. This season was looking promising and

has not been what a lot of us were hoping for. Maybe the best answer Dabo could have responded with was "next caller" or "I understand your frustration". I don't know. I honestly believe he needed to vent his frustration and Tyler hit that nerve. It reminds me when a "so-called" friend asked me when was my time up after I lost both brothers, my dad and sister in about three years. Not the right question to ask in that situation.

This season is not over with and we still can build towards next year.

I think Tyler got exactly the reaction he wanted. Does anyone actually believe

he wanted some well thought out, intellectual response? No he was going for blood and got exactly what he wanted. Now you could make argument Dabo can be above that and not stoop to his level. But I'm not sure how you can argue it's a legitimate question that should have had a different response.

Are you saying that some punk named Tyler got the better of Coach Sweeny in a battle of wits ??

First off lets not kid ourselves about this season. You have to win out to have anything worth building on for next year ,but what good does it do you to beat Notre Dame, then lose to Ga. Tech who just beat UNC or find yourself having to win against both Carolina's to get some crappy bowl game.
Look I did not hear the press conference and I do not care if Dabo and this caller have it out with pistols at 10 paces.
All I want to know is what is Dabo doing to try to fix the issues we have seen since that opening game. That's all.

I honestly hope it doesn't come down to winning vs. both Carolinas for a bowl

bid. Winning this weekend and losing next......well it will not be good. I do agree with you, winning out is the only way to build momentum for next year.

Love the pistols at 10 paces comment. Agree with you 100%. When the dust settles at year end, the record will be his scorecard. Everything else is dicta. He has problems and no one can dispute that (except Kathleen calling in from Clemson). It is probable he'll make changes and we'll just have to wait and see how they grade out out next season. In the midst of all that, Tnet will be going strong and provide unsolicited expert opinion on all matters.

Yes, every team hopes for a great season and the media and pollsters give some teams credit when that credit has not been earned. We started the year with an inexperienced QB, questions at OL, worry about a kicker and receivers and those worries have come true. Would the year be totally different without the turnovers, absolutely, but turnovers and injuries are part of the game.

I don't care if we are 4-4 or 8-0, the Notre Dame game is huge and we have a chance to get some respect back and the most important respect is in the locker room. Being able to dance again would be a great medicine for our ailments. There are still issues and worries but if we can find a way to put those aside for 3 1/2 hours Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning will be a little brighter.

This game is HUGE!!! It'll say a lot about the fighting

spirit this team has.

I understand the frustration too. Dabo is the ONLY person on earth that cannot just sit back and complain about what is going on with Clemson football and expect someone else to fix it. Because he is responsible for getting it fixed. He knows this. Being responsible for the performance of others can be very frustrating.

"Being responsible for the performance of other "is no problem when you are on top of the world, but that is not the case this season. Problem is, the issues this team have faced since Duke continue to multiple and I do not see him fixing them, only addressing them.
I just read on Yahoo sports this comment;" Nothing we are doing right now is good enough".
So what does that tell?

Tells me he understands the issues.

Being responsible for the performance of others is never “no problem”. The facilities I ran produced a volume of food products each day that were consumed by up to a million people. When all 300+ people in the facility did their jobs as they were trained there was no question about the quality and safety of the product. If (when) even one of those employees decided to take a short cut or believed they had a better idea than the way they were trained, they put A LOT of people at risk. But there was no way I, or anyone else, could know what these folks did every minute so you have to do the best job you can of hiring and training people to do what is expected. After that you have to trust them to do their job. But you cannot really “control” what they do. Really not that much different than being responsible for a staff of coaches and players, except the stakes are a lot higher. If you ever think relying on everyone in a large group to do the right thing is “no problem”, then your problems just started.

The comments from the readers was about 15 to 1 pro Dabo. Now how it finished out, I don't know, because the replies were changing too much, to read them all. one reader was a Bama fan, and one was a Big 10 fan. I guess that's the way people outside the Clemson fanbase see it.

I can kinda sympathize with him though. Once when I was still in the work force, we had a major install coming up. I felt like the weight of the world was on my shoulders. I didn't know if my end was going to be ready, in time. An "idiot" that had just been promoted to a supervisory position decided to flex his muscles in front of the Chief Engineer, by admonishing me for not being prepared, when he felt like I had ample time to be ready, and that I had not been doing my job. I don't know what I said to him, I may have started talking in an unknown tongue, but it wasn't nice. Sometimes there's so much pressure, that a little crack causes the ### to burst wide open.

Maybe we need to get off Dabos back, let him earn his pay, get behind him and the team, to get it fixed. Win or lose, I love this team, and always will, and I hope I'm never critical of somebody doing a job, I know I can't do.

The season was only looking promising to Dabo and those that believed what he said before it started. I wasn’t able to attend the spring game but a buddy of mine who did said we looked slow and QB issues galore. HH looked better than CK according to him, at least regarding poise.

I would have much preferred to have been told preseason that we look good, have some holes but we’re gonna get better. Instead we had a better and faster than the 2016 team (which inspired some to sound off) as well as a starry eyed QB talking championship hopes after first loss, ACC Championship after second and now we are to believe him when he says something about the fire in this team. I would prefer they say nothing and get to work!

Nobody with a brain thought this season looked promising.
