They will have to drop TCU - who just beat a Power 5 opponent by 52 points - down 2 spots. I'd make a bet that no team has ever won by that much over a Power 5 opponent and dropped two spots in a poll. Not saying it won't happen, but it will be unprecedented.

I agree . This would mean they erroneously ranked the top 6 in previous weeks. FSU should have stayed at 1 until they lost to begin with. And I don't even like them.

upon body of work up to that point as opposed to the other polls that attempt to rank the teams in order of how good they are. The committee could actually believe that Baylor is better than TCU, but justify putting TCU 3 spots higher because they are looking at their body of work up to that point. Now that Baylor beat top 10 KSU, the quality of their body of work has improved significantly, so they could move them higher than TCU and actually move TCU down from #3 to #6 following their 52 point win over a bad Iowa State team because the 3 teams behind them (FSU, Ohio State, Baylor) all had victories against teams ranked between #9 and #13.

Unfortunately, we have no idea what to expect seeing as this is the first year with this system. Based on the past few weeks, however, they could very well drop TCU or FSU based on whatever made up metric they have whipped up this week.

Without a publicly known set of standards, the committee can justify their picks however they want. They can change the criteria from one week to the next to justify whatever teams they pick. Unlike the BCS computers, the logic can change from week to week without anyone knowing.

Dropping a #3 TCU two spots or excluding an undefeated FSU will, no doubt, have people screaming from the rooftops across the country. Leaving it as it is now will, more than likely, be what most are expecting...not necessarily what most may want. And that would be the least controversial...in my opinion, of course, which probably isn't worth the proverbial two cents. lol
