Notre Dame

Aug 11, 2015, 1:19 PM

So, we know they have a good team. We know some of our own fans have sold tickets to the enemy. If undefeated they will bring a lot of energy to Death Valley-kinda like us going into VT in 2011. Big game. Not easy but the opportunity awaits the Tigers if we can get by Louisville. This game could catapult the winner into the cfb stratosphere. Go Tigers!!!!!!

On the competitive tough meaningful game we have in DV. The seats that folks in the stadium know that the enemy shouldn't be in, but are, those seat numbers should be reported to IPTAY. The next big game and its the same thing, enemy where they shouldn't be. Those tickets should be taken and sold to real Clemson fans that would be in those seats, and would never sell their tickets to the enemy. The ones that are now selling to the enemy at a ridiculous price, they don't give a chit about Clemson sports. They just buy the tickets for resale to the highest bidder, and that's usually the enemy!!!

some of us have good friends that went to ND and have heard

us brag for years about how awesome the environment is in Death Valley and now finally have a chance to experience it first-hand. I may have two of them sitting next to me in the South Lower Stands watching their dreams get crushed. It will be enjoyable.

For me personally, I would much rather enjoy a big win with my own fans, than the other teams fans. Boasting to the other fans bc their team lost just isn't pleasurable to me unless they are being ugly towards our fans or team. Good fans can lose with dignity as long as they're not being gored-ed by the opposite fans. I'm the type of fan that will shake their hand and say good game, most will respond by talking crap about their own team. And they will walk away thinking, Clemson has friendly fans. I'm assuming that most of our fans are more like myself bc, most visitors that come to DV say that we have good fans/fan base as a whole!!!

Don't think many will disagree with that. However,

I have family that are ND fans (wife's sister married an Irish dude) that will likely go to the game with us. They live in Charleston and go to South Bend for one game a year.

I pay for 4 season tickets and since it will probably be a night game, out kids won't be going.

I haven't decided if I'm going to charge them for the tickets or not. :)

We've been known to give tickets away to Clemson fans outside the stadium too.

Just sayin'

did you par chance see ND almost spit the bit against UNC last year

Aug 12, 2015, 1:48 AM

I expect CDS to have his team motivated and ready to play such that the Domers are dispatched by at least 2 TD's...

someone always puts ND back in their place....

won't be any different in Death Valley

I'm telling you ND will be really good this year

Last year their defense sucked, but had like 27 starters out with injury.
This year they get a lot of players back, and have extra experience b/c so many played before they should have.

They have a very good rb, a good OL, and TE that is a matchup nightmare (David Robinson's son) who is like 8ft tall and can jump like a deer.

They also have a strong early schedule with Texas and GT before playing us, so they will be ready.

If we are both undefeated that just smells like a gameday game to me. Ought to be great college football on display in Clemson on Oct 3.

I think youre giving them too much credit. They could very well be 2-2 coming into the valley.

When is the last time that ND faced an offense as explosive as the Tigers have? Answer, maybe Bama in the Game for the title sand they got routed. We have far too much speed for them on both sides of the ball and we have DW who will take their secondary apart! 3-4 td victory for the Tigers

James, you may not be aware of this, but ND actually scored more points last year than Clemson did. And we did not have a 73 point game against a team like SC St. to include in our point total.
