Total empathy for that guy. It was "adults" from multiple areas of his life that caused his issues, not him.

My best guess is that the team loves him, he does well enough in practice, and is a good leader but gets in his own head under the lights and shrinks. And when he does, the team shrinks with him. That's why the energy always seems different with Cade. I think everyone on the team wanted DJ to be the guy, but that strange aura on gameday is the reason the rest of the team follows his energy downward just as they seem to follow Cade's upward. I think we all agree that our receivers aren't up to the same level we've had in the past, but having a QB that's cool in the pocket while allowing things to develop makes a huge difference in their play.

We could be analyzing this for years to come. Kind of like the War College looks at various battles and how events shape the outcome. I'm just glad Cade got his chance and showed us what can be. No use looking back. Dabo gonna Dabo and we are going to always second guess. Because that's what we do!

I've been trying NOT to analyze things until it made me crazy all season after last year. I'm just going to chalk it up to the indisputable fact that Cade needed ONE MORE WEEK to be ready to play in 2022.
