on the spot. With about 20 seconds to go, trailing by 3 against #2 Houston, they grabbed the rebound following a missed shot by Houston. What did that fool do? Instead of calling a timeout and setting up a play, he let his team drive down and shoot. Then with 9 seconds left and the game tied, once again they get the rebound and he doesn't call a timeout to set up a play. He needs to take a year off, and spend it in here learning how to coach.

They then hit a two and got fouled to tie, chance to win, with under 5 seconds

He’s worth $10,000,000 a year. We’re lucky he still shows up to the games with the peanuts we pay him!

correct call by not calling time-outs in those situations. Those are two entirely different arguments; one where Brownell/Baylor coach was wrong or right by not calling time-outs in specific siuations, and the other being either coaches record over the years. You goobers can't seem to understand that.

The point is that according to T-Net coaching experts, it's automatic that you call a time-out in those situations. According to them, Brownell was a complete idiot because he didn't, and therefore he lost the NCST game for us. I'm just pointing out how absurdly idiotic that claim is, and that a really successful coach did the same thing twice today.

It isn’t automatic to call a timeout or not. And you sure Don’t call a timeout when your guard with the ball in his hands has the defender beaten.

Clemson does that at least 8 losses a year. Houston Cougars will win the Big Dance 2024. I still remember when Coach K did that in Natty game and next season several skipped Senior season cause didn’t trust Coach K anymore
